Wood continues to cast serious doubt over whether a girl could ever play at the elite level.
 
I think it's time to start playing Wood as the 1st ruck and let Jolly play 2nd. Do exactly what we did in the first 2 rounds except swap Jolly with Wood, and Paine with Jolly.

Wood needs game time. He was poor tonight but so was everyone else. Its hard to stand up when everyone is falling over. I am however worried about the ruck situation.

I'd play Sinclair in the ruck over piss weak Jolly next week.
 
Just remember, it is the beginning of the season. I feel that we were just having a bit of a run, without too much care behind it. Let's not go over the top in anger hey?

Remember the days when you earned game time by playing well? Geez, Wood isn't even playing well in the VFL, at least not consistently or for an entire game, but we're forced to include him because we don't have any depth, and then we have to give him more game time because he sucks and we're stuck if he doesn't improve? Cripes.

I assume your referring to my post?

I meant swap Paines position in the first 2 rounds with Jolly.

So Wood plays 1st ruck while Jolly plays up forward as the 2nd or 3rd tall and has stints in the ruck when Wood is off.

Been trying to tell you guys for ages that jolly is overrated. Can't jump, can't use his size, gets out bustled by smaller players, and can't clunk a mark.

I'm not going to bag wood for one bad game where almost everyone played badly.

Jolly and Swan have been by FAR the biggest disappointments this year. Closely followed by sidebottom.

Keefe has been great.

Fasolo has been very good too.
 
Remembering last year, Wood actually plays better as the number one ruck. He needs the responsibility. Jolly was taking the majority of the centre bounces and was getting slaughtered. Carlton's mids were getting it on a platter.

It looked like he almost MEANT to tap it to Judd on at least 5 occasions.

Jolly needs to go at the end of this year. Witts and Ceglar have no choice but to be thrown in at the deep end. At least Witts is so tall he almost can't lose the tap outs.

I can't believe Jolly can't take marks against midfielders let alone anyone above 6 foot.
