Did anyone else see it? I'll paraphrase one exchange:

Basil: A couple of weeks ago you said you won't finish on the bottom. You're now on the bottom. Are you still confident of that prediction?
Woosha: I don't understand.

He literally said he didn't understand the question!

He also repeated himself ad nauseam in an attempt to avoid actually answering any questions.

The first image to pop into my head was Baghdad Bob.

It was embarrassing.

Di he mean the question or how to coach :)

IIRC, Basil mentioned something about the pressure on Worsfold on making statements like that. Woosha replied "I don't understand" in that context.

In the sense of where was Basil suggesting pressure should be mounting from. It was a vague question and I'd suggest he'd be getting little pressure from the board but more from the media.

I actually couldn't believe Basil asked a follow through question on comments Woosha has made in the past.

In the 9 years the segment has run, this is the first time I've seen Baz hold Woosh somewhat accountable for what he previously said.

That wasn't the question. I can't remember the question it was that confusing myself. As he repeated it I was left wondering "WTF is bazil trying to ask here?" I didn't get it either

What I can't believe is people actually watch this segment, and all media carp generally, and make judgements based on this.

If you want answers go along to a training session, yes when they allow you to and post the correct time on the web site, but get along to one to make your own mind up. Don't be led by this so called journalism junk.:thumbsu:

woosh has been doing this for years brushing of questions that he doesnt want to answer.soon as he said that a couple of weeks ago that we wouldnt be winning the wooden spoon i just thought gee woosh you really dont have any idea of the talent we have at the club right now and that statement could come back to bite him on the arse.

You mean the training sessions where Sumich kicks the ball high to key forwards who proceed to take marks against Milko? Or the ones where Broadbridge has them kicking tennis balls?

Yep been to plenty of those sessions...

Was going to go down on Monday to have a laugh but lucky I didn't since they decided not to advise ppl of the time change, I'm sure Gary Stocks would have got a few more abusive calls/emails.

It was good to see Shuey out there.

Wonder what glandular does to a person though in terms of energy

It WAS advertised on the Eagles board, sure 2 or so hours after the originally planned time, but fortunately I had my sons in the Swan Districts footy clinic and they were saying Eagles players would be there so I deduced training would have to change. But they did advertise it had changed to 4pm. I do concur though, that it may well have been a good laugh.....in a manic way for many I guess.

Watching Woosha and Basil is a bit like watching a dad and his misfit son. The first week of teeball your like "well atleast hes trying", 2nd week you convince yourself hes getting better, by week 10 when hes sitting in the right field picking grass wearing his glove as a hat your sitting in the bleaches with all the other parents saying "Well the adoption brochures were very convincing".

What we saw last night was Basil disowning Woosha.

2 hours after the fact? Thank god for that...

They obviously got a heap of complaints to make an apology on the website.

For those who did go, was Shuey training with the main group or just catching balls off the net?

Edit: I should make that clearer...was he catching footballs off the net?

Remember though, they usually only allow "light/recovery" sessions to be open. The Monday is a light training night, Wednesday would be more interesting, which is why I'm very interested in having a look in the morning. I haven't been to a Wednesday session for about 18 months, not sure about you, but I'll meet you there! We can have a laugh together!:)

I'll be the guy up in the 3 tier stand operating a tennis ball machine and launching them at Broadbridge!

Interested to know about Shuey though and see if he is a chance to still play this year, would be very handy to get a few more games into him this year at any level.

Worsfold lost the plot a while ago and really should just resign. He is an embarrassment to this club at the moment.

He will never resign, he will have to be pushed.

He has been part of a winning culture for so long and will want every chance to make amends rather than go out on a low.

Problem is he won't be pushed either...not this year anyway.

so what, dont understand what the big deal was of what woosha said. what media is doing is treating him and what he says as though he is some politician. so this proves he is a bad one. thats why woosha didnt understnad what basil was saying, as though woosha owes the voting public the truth and that somehow he is accountable for wooden spoon comment? its just a comment, not a promise to fix the hospital system bhy the prime minister. he protects his players and him copping the heat has removed heat from his players and thats his goal. he isnt a politician.
