I'm of the view that he's potentially our best player since Adam Scott. Huge talent. Made for PGA Tour golf too.

Whether we see the best of him now given his decision to play in limited field invitational events with no cut is obviously the question.
In terms of potential he is miles from the Scott level. Aussie players who get to more than a couple of PGAT wins are few and far between. Who are we talking this century? Scott, Appleby, Day, Leishman and Smith?

Don't forget Aaron Baddeley and even Brett Rumford, although his doamin was European Tour.

The professional golf tour no matter where is extremely tough and competitive.

There's being plenty of young golfers look great as youngsters but not win on tour. At least here he's able to focus on his game whilst settinf himself up financially.

Did anybody watch the final of the Asutralian Amatuer Masters. Seemed a tough day at Southern.
I played in the morning where the weather was ok. But around midday I was glad to finish. Horrible conditions for the ammos at southern.

Guess we can add in Allenby and Appleby too. Golf is hard. Pro
Golf is harder.

And Southern yesterday looked hard!

Don't think this is the W that the PGA Tour are trying to make it out to be. LIV clearly happy to let Brooks walk.

Other than being a big name he does nothing to move the needle week to week. Guys like Rahm, Bryson etc at least go out and try to compete. Brooks did sweet fa on the pga tour when he was there originally and clearly only cares about the majors.

I cant see anyone else following tbh.

There are only a few other names on LIV that the PGAT would want - Rahm is probably the only one. Bryson burnt too many bridges and no one else on LIV is any kind of needle mover.

Would like to see Hatton and Reed back though

I agree. I think this is them opening the door to Rahm because he also expressed concerns last year.

Cam Smith would be 0% chance of coming back too.

I'd love to see both of those guys back. Even Reed. Its one thing that the PGAT has missed, particularly with Reed, is an antagonist.

Interesting. I'd imagine watching Koepka on the 16th tee at WM Open will be a tough watch for Bryson's ego. If he were return, it would be interesting to see if the PGAT relaxes their policy of players going out on their own for Youtube etc given how much of an impact Bryson has had on the golf world the past few years.

If LIV isn’t already terminally ill, Bryson leaving would kill them. That’s a decent amount of leverage for him.

The Saudis should be piling into the Euro Tour to at least ensure some sort of sustainability for a few LIV tournaments

I'd like to think they're terminal. PGAT was able to weather the storm of their stars leaving because they had an abundance of them remaining. LIV certainly doesn't have that luxury. They also haven't been able to attract any more stars from the PGAT since Rahm.

I'd absolutely love for Bryson to return to the PGAT and leave Rahm to battle it out with the likes of Poulter, Westwood, Phil and Kim.

With all the Brooks noise, other LIV moves aren’t getting much coverage. Two players - Kevin Na and
Jinichiro Kozuma exiting stage left apparently because they aren’t the right fit for the re-branded Ironheads becoming Team Korea.

Not sure this adds to the idea of it being a meritocracy when two players who qualified for this year are now no longer around.

Not sure too many care though. Won’t miss Na’s pace of play
