The funny thing is he finished higher in the Bluey than Col Sylvia, who Freo went on to pick up as the missing piece of their premiership puzzle we got Bernie Vince with our FA compensation pick, we made out like bandits with that one

Meh he averages 22 disposals a game at melbourne in his second season and 7 marks and looked class as a tall wingman
Turned out to be a spud but he put together a better season that Jimmy toumpas ever has or ever will

Oh, no Taylor was just awful. I remember one game where he might have scored negative dreamteam points (he gave away more free kicks than possessions/hitouts obtained). I don't think anyone has managed that again!

How he managed a what 5 year career whereas a competent ruckman like Wayde Skipper got booted after a year is still a mystery to me.

Wayne Skipper was on AFL lists for 10 years (2001-2010). He had more than enough opportunity, and was bog average. The classic "Too slow and unskilled for a key position, too small to ruck" proposition.

Taylor was delisted by the Hawks at the end of 2010, just like Skipper, so neither denied the other an opportunity to remain at AFL level.

Whilst i didnt see pagan as i was a youngster i do remember reading somewhere the kid could play but his old man was obviously a hard bastard and was super tough on him and made it so hard for him to get a game

Honestly have no idea aha just remember reading in a book(i think ahah) where a former player was saying how much a task master DP was and mentioned something about ryan dominating lower levels but his old man was super tough on him

I'll keep my vote to current players who have played at least one game this season.

Tom Boyd, apart from the 2016 Grand Final he has been absolutely useless.

Jake Batchelor, no explanation needed.

Nathan J Brown, has been exceptionally poor for the Saints so far this season.

Taylor Hunt, defies logic that he's on an AFL list.

Ty Vickery, Ty Vickery.

Why are posters constantly posting players from teams that they don't follow? Melbourne has had more duds than anyone over the last 40 years!

Given Tom Boyd almost (should have imo) won the Norm Smith as a 20/21 year old and arguably won the doggies a grand final, can't understand why he would be in this thread.

Without him, the doggies would still be waiting for that next premiership. Seems like a lot of sour people on this thread.

If played permanently forward, 2 would be roughly what he'd average

Wow almost a 50 goal a season half forward.
I wish we had the luxury of sacrificing all those goals.
