Taylor does not provide any entertainment to the coverage and as that is the only reason he is employed, I think he should be shown the door. Please get a commentator in there who can call the game, name the correct players when they have the ball and does not rely on nicknames to get through a game.

I doubt Taylor puts in any effort during the week to improve his commentary or develop his knowledge base on current game styles or new players. He gets by each week yelling out things such as "WOWEE" or "BIG BOY MCEVOY" over and over again. He seemingly berates Richardson at any possible moment and it is frustrating that 7 keep him on.

Ling is great and happy to have him on. We all have our thoughts about Darcy. But what else can we expect when the only fta coverage of AFL have the likes of Taylor, McLaughlin and Zempilas as the best commentators they can dish up?

The problem is that Darcy is such a bad straight guy. Triple M was the greatest aobut 3 years ago when they had BT and Brayshaw and some straight guys like Spud, Chief and Gary Lyon. Those guys knew they weren't funny and didn't try to be. Darcy doesn't realize he's not a very funny bloke. Triple sucks now as well

A bit of flair and terms of endearment towards players gives them a public personality in this era of club media department managed player interviews turning players into robots, and people like BT is what makes commentary colourful and not bland. Give the guy a break.
