what a shower of shit these guys are. :thumbsu:

Biscuits already, but his average performances will be glossed over because he'll be part of the winning squad.

haha I forgot about Kleberson. I just included Denilson for the hilarious tactic Scolari used him with against Turkey - give him the ball in injury time, and then the entire Turkish team chased after him. it was brilliant. :D

fwiw it's actually Guivarc'h. he's ****ing horrible.

I think Leboeuf gets a reprive because Desailly got himself sent off in that one and they played for awhile with three at the back. Brazil were crap but it was still Rivaldo and Bebeto out there, Ronaldo was off in lalaland of course.

there were some pretty big stinkers in the Germany team from 2002 too. like Ziege.

Kuyt isn't the worst player in the Dutch team and he has had quite a good WC in all seriousness.

Biscuits will be the most undeserving WC winner of all time if Spain win.

Will this be your first WC final? ;)

He actually had a good game this morning and largely neutralised a player who according to some was the best player of the WC.

In your defense, many fans severely underrate players of his type. On a lower level, when PSV bought Timmy Simons, everyone called him the biggest hack ever and the biggest waste of money in PSV's history. About a year later Simons was captain of PSV and a crowd favourite for the 5 or so following seasons. Both are very similar - they clearly lack technique and will screw up when under pressure, but they make it up with things that don't immediately catch the eye. I've explained my thoughts on him in the Alonso thread - feel free to continue our discussion there.

I will admit that I'm wrong only when he has a beast of a game against a good team. Every good DM acheives this every now and then but I havn't seen Biscuits perform this act.

So for now he is a hack.:p

This Germany's good enough enough for me.

I don't think you'll ever see a beast of a game from him - what he does just doesn't catch the eye. I agree he's a hack (but so was Edmilson who won a CL with Barcelona) but you can get away with being a hack in his position as long as you're surrounded by the right players. Both Spain and Barcelona don't need him to build up play - all he needs to do is know where to run, break the other team's attacks and nicely give the ball to Xavi.

Franck Le Boeuf would have to be up there too... but yeah, Stephane "Rogue Apostrophe" Guivarc'h, who the **** was that guy?

He did play a purpose in the squad like Kuty has in this World Cup but yeah, he was awful more often than not. He was found out big time when he moved to Newcastle United and then on to Rangers but if they were dumb enough to buy him then so be it.

'Oceania's finest' in Christian Karembu must also get a mention from that French team and even, dare I say it, Barthez? Everyone seems to forget Jens Jeremies too. That nasty vindictive little shit came in for the suspended Ballack in the 2002 final.

EDIT-I also no one has mentioned Roque Santa Cruz? Wasn't he a complete bombscare at Leeds?

Based on this world cup so far, Fernando Torres should be getting plenty of votes (assuming he gets a minute or two in the final).

oh how did I forget Roque Junior! he was dreadful everywhere he went. that Brazil team had loads of duds in it actually ... Kleberson, Roque Junior, Denilson, Gilberto (while good at what he does he has no real ability), Edmilson. only offset by the four R's in attack. :o

Sorry I meant Roque Jr, not Santa Cruz.

You don't understand/appreciate his role. I had my eye on him against Germany - he played very well, did exactly what was expected of him.

Fans not rating what he does is not his problem. Coaches and analysts do recognise his value.

If he was a CM, then for sure he'd be a complete failure of a player, but he's a DM and you should judge him on what Del Bosque and Guardiola want him to do. They both seem very happy with him.
