Randall Bone very much belongs in the discussion in this thread. Won’t argue about Jarrhan Jacky being named in this thread though.

Got games for the Hawks after he left us and played some seriously good footy for South Adelaide. He was no spud, biggest problem was he was a tweener at AFL level.

I'll go you one further; Worst (season performing) player to pull the jumper for every year of our existence.

Few years where I've struggled to find an absolute statistical spuddy year.

TOP 5 Worst;

BACK TO BACK:
Matthew Powell 1994/1995

Matthew Collins 1996/1997
Ricky O'Laughlin 2000/2001
Aiden Riley 2011/2012

JUST AWFUL:
Fergus Watts 2004

Angwin and Watts
Angwin could actually play. He was just a total head case.

Watts is a difficult one to judge. He left before he really had a chance to emerge, then copped a foot injury which ended his career. Could have come good, but we'll never know. Not what I'd call a confirmed spud.

Wish someone had asked him to count down from 100 by 7s before we drafted him...

Fergus Watts 2004

2010 - James Sellar

2015 - Matthew Wright, 5 goals from 16 games as a small half forward, averaged 14 touches
2016 - Nathan Van Berlo, completely cooked
2017 - Scott Thompson, why did we gift him a game?
2018 - Curtly Hampton, played one of the worst games in Crows colors I've ever seen (then retired)
2019 - Myles Poholke?

haha I found it hard to pick blokes who had great careers ie. VB, Thommo etc.

Hampton and Poholke in hindsight were oversights.

Sellar was up there with one of the most athletic looking yet athletic lacking players I've ever seen. A la Kyle Hartigan now or Craig Ellis in the 90's.

I'd forgotten about Nick Gill until today.. My god he was a specimen.

Playing VB in that round 1 game against North was one of the worst selections I've seen. You can talk about us shitting the bed against the Eagles in the last round but a better selection would've seen us win that, he cost us about 3 goals.
