I find it ironic that people are condemning the thread starter for being stupid, yet the same people reply to his musings.

To delete this thread would be a severe case of over-moderation, which when done in the past, has only caused more problems.

I wasn't condemning the thread starter, more so the average Geelong board poster - or the Geelong supporters.

I do hear you about the supporters though. It's a sad fact that for every Seb and Sue, we have ten trogladytic supporters.

Yeah, i figured as much, I just wanted to make sure my point wasn't being misconstrued..

Yep I deliberately avoided the swear filter, don't ask me how it should be dealt with becuase you're the moderator. Now deal with it.


And yes, you're right, the board is ohhh sooo much better now that all the geelong supporters have started sniping each other.

I usually edit the post, replacing the swear word with red stars to block it out and show what's been edited, but I missed your one Jim Boy, so will let it slide on this occasion. I must say though, most Geelong people are usually pretty good in that regard... and before anyone gets in with the usual ****, ****, **** and **** reply, it's just been done.

Can you spot the difference between the above two posts P&P. But I'll spell it out anyway. Scousecat has at the very at least attempted to diffuse the situation, I haven't got any reply to it, while you just set yourself up for a further kicking. You aint gonna get nowhere if you're just going sit at your keyboard and dribble abuse when you're meant to be meant moderating.

If you throw stones, i shall throw back. Being a moderator does not mean i must take your abuse with a smile.

If you want to discuss something in a constructive manner, i shall too. If you merely want to go with snide one-liners and attempts at sarcasm, i shall treat those posts with the respect they deserve.

If you don't like that approach, join the queue, it ends at about Perth.
