Just making a hypothetical...

If the Cats make the GF, and Egan is selected for it (which is still very much on the cards)... we would have our best 22 out there.

How long since a team has fielded it's absolute best 22 on GF day? (i.e. no injuries or suspensions etc whatsoever)

I think that would be fairly remarkable wouldn't it?

Clubs (particularly in the top 8) mould their season around getting thier best 22 on the park come September. Last year in the GF Kerr had broken bones in his foot and otherwise wouldn't have played if it wasnt the GF. The same would go for Egan this year. The reason why the best 22 find themsleves on the park in the GF is because its now or never and they are willing to be risked.
