David Otunga: "Oh he wants to make a statement."

Vince must scream that into commentary headsets. Beyond cliche at this point.

Silence for Goldberg's entrance. Crowd must be abusing him.

Roman Reigns is AJ Styles compared to Undertaker. Whatever the result of this match, the old ****** should never wrestle again.

#wrestlemaniadelayed

He should of Retired when Brock beat him

Though him Losing too Reigns make more sense then Losing to Brock. Reigns is a Full Timer and not Part Timer and Reigns still has long Career ahead of him

There hasn't been a good odd-numbered WrestleMania since 23 (31 wasn't that good, deal with it) and this one is no exception. This year's WrestleMania was a turd covered in sprinkles. You had some great moments but it was never going to be enough to make us forget about all the crap littered throughout the PPV. It's nowhere near the worst, it's nowhere near the best, but somewhere in the worst 10-15 I guess...

I didn't get to see any of the pre-show but it sounds like it was a good example of a turd covered in sprinkles. The sprinkles being the Cruiserweight Championship match which apparently was really good (Neville and Aries are excellent workers) but the whole division has been treated poorly ever since they stuck them on Raw, and they should ditch the purple ropes. The turd was everything else. There was only one logical conclusion and one convincing winner of the jobber... I mean Andre the Giant Battle Royal: Braun Strowman. Instead we have Mojo "Midcard Roman Reigns" Rawley winning by eliminating Jinder "Wellness Policy" Mahal. What is it with Vince giving failed NFL players forced babyface pushes? Strowman hasn't recovered from that unnecessary clean job to Reigns and they'll no doubt change his character to look more goofy and less threatening e.g. dancing, poetry, imitating other wrestlers, befriending a mop, etc. The Intercontinental Championship match was knocked down to pre-show status, which is an insult to a title that for a long period of time was the company's #2 title and was on the line for some really memorable matches at WrestleMania. I guess the writing was on the wall when neither Ambrose or Corbin appeared on the go home episode of SmackDown Live. Apparently the match was average at best, it should've been a hardcore match and that would've made it better than the stinker of a match Ambrose had with Lesnar last year. I don't know what they're doing with Ambrose, as I'm sure he has some heat with the higher uppers ever since that interview with Stone Cold last year.

With regards to the main card, I actually enjoyed the Styles/McMahon match. It was a match that nobody wanted to see booked, a match that we all hoped would just be a swerve to reveal the "real match" (Styles/Nakamura) but as soon as they had those backstage segments, we were going to get the match and it actually delivered in terms of the spots and risk taking. The only logical outcome was for Styles to win and he did, anything else would've been an insult. Technically, having Styles face McMahon at WM is an insult to what he does on a weekly basis in the ring but Shane O'Mac delivers in taking high-risk bumps so it was always going to be entertaining.

The United States Championship match was pretty good and of course Kevin Owens was going to win given that Jericho will be leaving the WWE again soon to tour with Fozzy. I enjoyed the match especially with Owens paying tribute to "The Creation of Kevin" with the fingertip on the rope (not knuckle, Maggle) to break the 3-count as well as the apron powerbomb still being a protected finisher, but the match felt a couple of minutes too short for some reason. I really hope Owen's US title run is done well and not made to be a cowardly figure like he was as Universal champion.

The Raw Women's Championship match was okay but it was certainly rushed. It was way too short for a fatal-fourway elimination match. There were some nice spots throughout the match and Charlotte was easily the best performer out of the four. Bayley being the champ doesn't exactly cut it for me since the belly-to-belly suplex is a weak finishing move and a top-rope elbow drop is not that convincing especially after Charlotte pulled off a corkscrew moonsault. I hope Sasha turns heel and Bayley drops the belt soon.

The Raw Tag Team Championship match was also a rushed effort but it provided what I thought was THE highlight of the PPV: the return of Broken Matt and Brother Nero. Even though Brother Nero said that they weren't going to appear in the WWE that soon, it was clearly a work and any rumour of them not appearing at WrestleMania was DELETED and deemed OBSOLETE. It was definitely the mark out moment of the PPV, along with all the spots involving the ladders throughout the match, especially Brother Nero's Swanton Bomb onto Sheamsaro. Their expedition of Raw Tag Team gold and the "DELETE!" chants was WONDERFUL and I really hope they don't go back to being just spot monkeys like they were in their earlier WWF/E days. A definite feelgood nostalgic moment that I hope isn't ruined by that OBSOLETE owl, but I'm sure Meekmahan will give them an offer that they can't refuse.

Now onto a stinker: the mixed tag-team match. I certainly didn't expect it to be a good match and I felt it was an insult for all four wrestlers involved. The "Total Bellas Total Bullshit" segments were great but given the matches that Cena and Nikki Bella had against Carmellsworth and Breezango, you knew it was going to be a longer-than-normal squash match. I really hope this match doesn't prevent a potential push for The Miz in the future but we all saw what happened to Rusev after WM31. The match itself was embarrassing and cringeworthy, especially the poor man's Savage/Elizabeth segment that followed. I mean... good on them for getting engaged but do the fans really want to see a special episode of Total Divas or Total Bellas in the middle of the ring? I don't...

The "unsanctioned match" was the best match of the night IMO when you don't take crowd reaction into consideration. There has been talk of a HHH/Rollins blow-off match at WrestleMania for a long time and it certainly didn't fail to deliver. I enjoyed HHH on the trike with Stephanie McMILF as well as Rollins dressing up as the new gold Power Ranger but all jokes aside, they had great chemistry and despite many years of burying talent with his magical golden shovel, the man with three H's lost to Crossfit Jesus as expected. It was great to see weapons used in the match and Rollins sell the "bad knee" at important stages of the match. The phoenix splash by Rollins, the reversal attempts, the Stephanie McMahon table bump and Rollins pinning HHH after using the Pedigree, I liked it.

Another stinker of a match: the WWE Championship match. Remember when the Royal Rumble winner was going to headline WrestleMania? I remember. Remember when WWE said that whoever won the SmackDown Live match between Randy Orton and AJ Styles would be headlining WrestleMania? I remember. Then why the * was it not the headliner? The 4th last match of the PPV is not the main event, despite WWE telling you otherwise. The storyline heading into the match had some excellent moments and there was some great chemistry between Wyatt and Orton. Instead we were treated to a short match that was disappointing that was mainly signature moves and not much else. The images of maggots, worms and cockroaches on the ring canvas were just weird. Wyatt losing clean again at WM does nothing for his character and Randy Orton winning the WWE Championship again as a face does nothing for the title. I wish Orton wasn't so vintage and methodical...

I'm gonna say the WWE Universal Championship match was a mixed bag, it went longer than I expected. It was always going to be short, it was always going to involve no more than 5 different moves but it was always going to get a huge crowd reaction. I enjoyed Paul Heyman announcing Bork Laser when he was in the ring, I enjoyed the boos for Oldberg as well as Oldberg taking 10 German suplexes, and I enjoyed Oldberg jobbing to Lesnar clean after one F-5 and hopefully not coming back to the WWE for a long, long time. I didn't care about the match at all, I just wanted to see Oldberg lose the belt clean. Unfortunately, the belt is now being held by a part-timer who will most likely drop it to everyone's favourite "big dog" Roman Reigns at next year's WrestleMania, I absolutely can't wait to see that...

The SmackDown Women's title was a stinker because it was rushed, and that was really disappointing. A six-person match lasting 5 and a half minutes? What the * is that? A six-person match that ends in submission? What the * is that? The SmackDown women participating deserved better than that. Naomi is over with the fans, I don't know how the * that happened. I enjoy the ball-tripping entrances and the booty but there are better wrestlers worthy of the belt. James "Big Hog" Ellsworth is certainly living the dream, I'm super jelly.

Now onto the main event and it was a stinker. Everyone's favourite wrestler who is totally not getting artificially pushed and forced down our throats every week Roman Reigns beat The Undertaker clean. Now I don't exactly have a problem with Reigns going over (and it makes sense), given that since Taker lost at WM30 and his streak was over, his appearances didn't mean anywhere near as much anymore but there's just one word to describe the match: sad. It was by no means the worst main event in WrestleMania history or the worst match in WrestleMania history but pretty much nothing went right. It was sad to see the end of The Undertaker and apparently it wasn't supposed to be Reigns to end his career. According to Meltzer, Cena was supposed to end The Undertaker's career (which Taker wanted) but Vince obviously knows better than Mr. Calloway or the fans and instead gave us the match that nobody (except for Reigns marks) wanted. I like Leati as a person (from what I've seen in the non-adult UpUpDownDown videos), he has certainly improved in the ring as a performer but his character doesn't deserve to be headlining a 3rd consecutive WrestleMania main event. I hate that they haven't made him turn heel when it's so obvious that his character is heel in appearance, heel in his mannerisms and heel in his attitude. His babyface promos suck, they have always sucked and will continue to suck. Having Reigns compete in three consecutive WrestleMania main events and with a fourth main event most likely for the Universal Championship against Lesnar next year? Vince really needs to lay off the Viagra and back away from wrestling completely.

Vince sees Roman Reigns as the "future of the WWE" but most fans in attendance don't see that. I think he could be one of the best heels they have for quite some time. But to the fans, they see a Vince McMahon creation that has been force fed and pushed way too hard to be liked and accepted as the number one babyface of the company. How often do you hear Reigns get cheered? How often do you hear the crowd mysteriously go silent? How often do you see WWE edit out negative Reigns signs in the crowd? The fans see Reigns as Cena 2.0 but with long hair, black clothes, tattoos, a movie star cousin, the trademark Anoa'i gap tooth and lacklustre mic skills, talking about dec-declaring, believing that, sufferin' succotash and magic beanstalks. When the character has his own Wikipedia entry just about his persona and crowd reception, you know you have problems. This isn't the fault of Leati though. But I can't just be harsh on Reigns, I thought he did well in the match given the circumstances. The Undertaker on the other hand is done as a wrestler. It was really sad to see the legend look so old and decrepit in the ring, he really should've retired after losing to Lesnar. The match just didn't look right at all: too long, too slow, too botched, too poorly executed, too much Dead Man dying in the ring. I felt sorry for both Undertaker and Reigns, as well as the crowd watching it live. I really don't know what the whole point of the match was to be honest. Passing the torch? What the * are you on about? Hogan losing to Ultimate Warrior clean was a "passing the torch" moment and I enjoy that match a lot (the sequel, not so much). This match was not Hogan/Warrior in terms of build-up, promos or even match quality. Since when has Reigns played a supernatural character or played a biker character? The only saving grace for this outcome is for Reigns to turn heel on Raw and piss on The Undertaker's legacy, metaphorically and/or literally. Reigns has ended The Undertaker once and for all, there is no way his character gets cheered for that. It shouldn't be a bad heel turn, it shouldn't be a good heel turn, it should be THE heel turn. Make it happen, Vince.

Yes it's a long rant but I can't forget the other turds of the PPV: Flo Rida, Pitbull and that lunch eater as well as no Finn Balor or Samoa Joe and no SmackDown Tag Team Titles being defended. Broken Hardys, Styles/McMahon, HHH/Rollins and the US title match save this WrestleMania from being on the same level as 9 or 11.

I've never understood the love Orton gets and this show did nothing but add to that confusion.

My missus was happy he won.

Just watched the pre show
Neville vs Aries was great.
Corbin keeps getting better. Guess you keep the belt on Deano cause he's a mid card over workhorse baby face. If that's a thing.
What they see in Mojo I do not know. Reject Shop Ryback I guess.

Second year the flagship PPV has been terrible. The third consecutive main event with an unpopular face treated like he's a massive star. All over lazy writing and booking, and stacked with old timers.

Vince McMahon will have to relinquish control or die for WWE to get better. He is wrestling's George Lucas.
