Game Pass just got a massive price increase. I already unsubbed a while ago but these prices will see me never return again

I am in the same boat with PS Plus. I am letting it expire (auto renewal turned off) in December. It has been multiple price hikes too many to justify the new prices.

Whenever I see some good discounts that you need a PS Plus sub for, I will sign up for an essential tier sub for a month for $13. I won’t ever go back to yearly subs.

Interesting how much (if available) the Xbox Gold conversion trick will be now.

Got mine paid through to August next year, but not sure if I'll go beyond that.

Think PC + Switch for the exclusives is enough beyond this gen. Funny to hear the site crashing due to sub cancellations.

Like dwwaino was touching on, getting the month here and there when you want to play something specific is the way to go. People kinda do that now with streaming subs (I'm doing it) but think think it will become the norm in the next few years.

Xbox is already dead so they are just trying to squeeze the last few dollars out of whoever is still sticking around.

Inevitable price hikes, I think, for everyone is understandable as long as it's reasonable and within some form of expectations. Hiking a price by nearly double, is inexcusable.

I can never understand the price hike that isn't increasingly minimal over a shorter period so that people don't notice it. Doing something so drastically high is kinda crazy.

I'd suggest if anyone wants to get in now, get onto JB and EB and grab multiple now to satiate you over at least the nearer to long term. $275 for a year certainly looks a hell of a lot better than $431 right now.

Think so. Main thing was to get the best conversion your sub had to expire.

Additionally, you saved a tonne if you used a VPN to redeem codes from third party regions where the 12 month sub codes are far cheaper.

Two of the things they are spruiking for Ultimate are Ubisoft slop and Fortnite, two things I couldn't care less about because it isn't 2012 or 2018 anymore.

Unless they introduce some element of customisation where you can choose what features you want for your subscription (will never happen), I'll be done.
