Im saying both have a history of getting into trouble with the law, and im glad it wasnt the guy on our list who arguably has a 10 year career at our club if he wants it, and is regarded in my eyes, as one of the most talented players in the comp. Not sure how Nat Fyfe is even relevant, I dont think he has broken any laws before.
I think he broke the law for being too damn sexy

I'll show myself out now

Hmm, how would Hawthorn deal with this? Play on :thumbsu:

Some people on here don't see the big picture. We have Benell on the list who has (any maybe is still) been in a very bad way. Do you really want other players being bad influences on him? This could easily of been a situation where both of them went out, and than god Bennell wasn't with him. Yarran should never of been out on the town the night after a game.

Honestly, if Harley is that easily influenced, he is gone. The worst influences will come at him hard from outside the club, not inside it.

Harley isn't the person charged and who says he was with Shane Yarren when the incident happened.

The problem is that there are too many rules.

Only 1 that people need to live their life by.

Do right.

You do that, you'll be ok. If you don't, there's consequences.

There's obviously a scale and people can move the scale as much as they like.

The problem is Yarran possibly views this as minor as do many. Ultimately it is, but only because our perceptions get warped by all the negativity surrounding our world.

You don't know if Bennel is in a bad way. That's speculation

Why shouldn't Yarren be out on the town? Players often head out after games. He shouldn't have become disorderly while out but players are allowed a life out of football.

Most clubs have alcohol bans during the season, and after playing a game recovery is paramount - especially when the club is experiencing an injury crisis - and alcohol and a late night impede this. This isn't the off-season.

One commandment, hey? 10 to 2 to 1. At least yours is an economical faith.

Problem is, that right is debatable. Kind of depends what others think is right rather than what you do. It's only minor because the world is such a bad place? Yeh, no.

It's the beginning of Freo's bye week. Likely to have different regime than a normal weekend.

I thought it was pretty rare for an alcohol ban after games - he's on a bye week too so even if there was one which I doubt it probably doesn't apply

Not a good look, i think when details become clearer it'll be easier to disect and digest.

I hope it was a case of wrong place at the wrong time, but maybe its the wrong bloke too. I feel if he doesn't train the house down and scrape a debut with promise then its goodnight for a cautious selector. Especially with a surname as such.

Jeebus guys, can we calm it down a little, we're not talking Oscar Pistorius here!

Let's let the club deal with it in the same way they have dealt with other indiscretions In the past.

The fact that he has a record is irrelevant to the current situation.

100% this is viewed as nothing by some because of what we're surrounded with or what you're use to.
Im not saying it's minor in the slightest.
Im saying people say it's nothing because they compare it to other stuff of a much worse nature.
Ask 10 random people tomorrow and watch how many say something like 'well he's no Ben Cousins or jeez you'd think he'd killed someone'

Haha. My above point given in this quote!

I generally like your stuff Cobbler but you are coming across as self righteous and judgemental on thus one.

If you've never made a mistake then good for you, but I believe the last perfect bloke ended up on a cross.

As I said, why don't we let the club deal with it.

We all make mistakes. All of what I'm saying isn't in regard to a mistake being made or what the consequence should be.

My gripe is with posters trying to excuse it or shift blame.

I actually feel sorry that this issue is plastered all over the media.

That said he has spent time in jail. Research what he did. He's lucky our jail sentences are so light. He's lucky Subiaco gave him a shot. He's incredibly lucky Fremantle drafted him.

Now people are saying lay off him?

Like I said we all have scales of right and wrong. Aggravated assault is pretty wrong.

Has anyone said otherwise?

Clearly there were a lot of Freo posters in Leederville with Yaran that night to know that he was drinking when the available evidence says nothing of the sort.

Disobeying a 'move on order' and disorderly wouldn't seem like hanging offences
If we really want to punish him, play him in the forward line and tell him he has to predict where Danyle Pearce is going to kick it and run there

What it sounds like is a piss head with no respect for authority.

Don't put any sh1t on west coast if you are going to accept this type of behaviour.

I am in the cut out the cancer before it spreads camp not the I see nothing nothing WC camp.

How about you stop filling in the gaps of your knowledge with your imagination?

He never accepted responsibility for what he did which led to jail.

So I guess he's someone that's said otherwise.
Read the court transcript have you?

My point about becoming WC remains. If you are not going to take a hard line on clear discipline issues then we become WC. How does that sit with you?????

Or can't you see the the lack of discipline issue here, blind much?

What is really concerning is not obeying the move on notice, I mean really, did he suddenly forget his past and the last chance he was on???

If you can't see that this is an issue for the footy club when you have already taken a massive risk with a player like Bennell then I think we are heading down to a potentially "blind" Worsfold type era at Freo. That would not sit well with me at all.

To be fair, the last perfect guy came back again a few days later having won the jackpot and retired young
