how long have this garment been used to celebrate final year at school? i know its a big thing in the USA, but here?

in my final year, we were lucky enough to receive white t-shirt with everyones name on the back in black print. cant remember exactly what was on the front. the shirt lasted maybe a year or two before disintegrating.

Yeah this surprised me I saw high school jackets for the first time last year and wondered when they upgraded and started copying the American HS system.

When I was in grade 6 we got Jackets to signify it was our last year, I knew some people wore theirs still during school holidays and the first few years AFTER primary school (losers lol).

Our high school had different jumpers to wear for year 11/12 to signal that they were in the senior school. As for something that had the school year and class members names on them that didn't happen until the final day of school - ours was a gridiron design with the year on the front and every students name on the back.

Was that Mitch Thorp? And no one can give themselves a nickname, this is truth. campaigner crusher is probably one of the better ones I've heard though.

We didn't get ours until the last week of 3rd term. It was a purple and grey rugby jersey that looked pretty shit and it wasn't the one I voted for. We didn't have names on ours either nor did we get the Year number on our backs.

However, the schools other campus got Bomber jackets half way through second term of something like that, with their choice of nickname and with the Year number on the back.

If I has a choice of nickname, i would have gone with beef or beefeater. It was nickname someone came up with, that caught on like hell fire.
