well...as most of u predicted we went down 2 the saints....just looking at the boys after the game like lingy and scarlo, they just looked absoloutely shattered and like they were in debelief...i had a few tears just looking at them mind you...but we did waste our opportunities in that last half...we had a ******** load of inside 50's and got nothing out of them...we got it down there and within seconds the saints just took it right back....i found it extremely hard 2 sit there at the dome in that last quater, just watching our season go down the toliet, well pretty much...it was very depressing IMO, i definately believe we will comeback and win at home next week, but still this is a huge loss to the entire club and i will be very suprised if we even make the finals this year, im trying to look on the bright side of things but there really isn't anything good coming out of this...and chappy's hamstring doesn't add to the bright side of things, yet another key player gone...dont know whats going to happen now

and add enright to the injured list aswell...

We really seem to be missing a few players, I think our side would've been better if we still had ben graham for a start, and with harley out really hurts our team, and we will get flogged over and over for the rest of the year, can't see us winning another game until we play Richmond, then again, that's not a certain...

No doubt something has severely reviewed about where we are going and how we are going to improve our forward structure. The amount of times the ball came out easily was just unacceptable. To me watching last night i think we had a crack but by half way through the third quarter we were stuffed. No enery, urgency or conviction. I think that the positives for me were Mark Blake he did give away a few free kicks but did win some top hitouts and looked mobile. Scarlo was brillant and i thought before Corey Enright went off he was starting to look really good. Jimmy was good again.

For weeks I have been thinking that Ablett and Chapman need to play almost the whole game up forward. Ablett has been having a hard time all year trying to break the tag in the midfield so it may do him some good to be damaging up forward rather than through the middle. When we were looking good last year it was because of the forward pressure and tackling in our 50m arc. Ablett and Chapman lead the way with that. Our forward line is not working so let's go back to something that did.

I just dunno why Ablett isn't being tried elsewhere. It seems clear he's being run into the ground in the position he's in now, so it's time to try him elsewhere, in a position that might allow him a bit more freedom to be creative. Do we really need him in the midfield? I don't see why we can't just leave him and Chappy up forward like we did last year. Our forward pressure, by all accounts, is terrible.

I've got a different solution for Ablett. Play him as a tagger. It breaks any negating role on him and it improves his defensive skills, which he needs.
