i just dont get all the impatience and ignorance from posters when it comes to post. bloody hell a second yr skinny 196cm kp whos struggling a bit in yr two, and people want to throw the baby out with the bath water.so much for the old development argument. so much for looking very promising in yr 1. but hey being very young and raw dont stagnate at richmond after all we have been so successful with our development the last 30 yrs.
bloody oath we are littered with fools. we have enough sub standard 4th 5th plus yr players to get rid of before we start targeting second yr talls.

Players I would consider trading for from other clubs. Now im not saying we should trade for all of these (maybe 1 or 2 if possible). From my understanding these guys are coming out of contract:

Chris Knights (Adel)
Patrick Dangerfield (Adel)
Daniel Hannebury (Syd)
Travis Boak (Port)

Travis Tuck (Haw)

add to this the rumours about:

Patrick Vespremi (Syd)
Jackson Trengove (Port)

And I'd like them to have another nibble at David Mundy (Freo)

We have buckets of cash. Could we manage to get a 'young' big fish to give us a bit of a push along?

All the bolded players would cost our 1st round pick and a player... Not sure I would be willing to do that.. Travis Tuck = WTF?? Seriously? Best bet is someone like Vezpremi, who would be a 2nd rounder and player...

I get the feeling that Hardwick has written this year off for young Posty. Feel like the plan is to get 10kg's on him, let him rip it up and get maasive and develop in the two's for the year. He will need to get used to his body and size, hence he plays in the two's all year. Then next year tunes the body in preseason and comes into season 3, solid enough to play key position, which helps with his confidence at the highest level.
No matter what, this kid should be given until the end of 2012 to show something, even if up until then he hasn't managed anymore senior AFL games!

With the season just about to end its probably well worth the effort to bump this thread and save people starting a new thread about this topic.

To get us started here is my list:
Safe: Deledio Martin Riewoldt Cotchin Foley Jackson Tuck Newman McGuane Moore Morton Tambling Graham Edwards White Nason Vickery Connors Collins Farmer Griffiths Astbury Webberley Dea Taylor Post Browne Grimes Gourdis Contin Hicks O'Rielly Westhoff
Question Marks: Cousins King Thursfield Polo Nahas Gilligan Roberts Polak Rance Thomson Hislop
Finished: Simmonds McMahon
Above is my list from mid year and here is the upgraded list:
Safe: Deledio Martin Riewoldt Cotchin Foley Jackson Tuck Newman McGuane Morton Tambling Rance Graham Edwards White Nason Vickery Connors Collins King Farmer Griffiths Astbury Webberley Dea Taylor Post Browne Grimes Gourdis Contin Hicks O'Rielly Westhoff
Question Marks: Thursfield Moore Polo Nahas Gilligan Roberts Polak Thomson Hislop
Finished: Simmonds McMahon Cousins

Only differences are Cousins moves to the finished list, while King & Rance move to the safe list. Those in the question marks list are the ones I see as tradeable or delist material.

i agree with yr above post with a couple of differences from my view, i believe Moore wont be going anywhere as DH loves him, unless we get a really good offer i doubt he will go, i would add L. MacGaune to the question mark list as a trade( but 1.35mil over 3yrs as rumour has it to fill our 92.5% of the cap) id doubt anyone accept the Suns would pay it but LM is more of a chance than moore.

also we should offer up a Foley or Rance only if it means we get what we want, though it is unlikely.
