I think people get carried away with DT's opinion of Jonathan Brown. He thinks that Jonathan Brown is a good player but he is not as good as some suggest he is which is fair enough. He is entitled to his opinion. However, if Brown said he wants to come and play for the Crows I am sure DT would be urging AFC to go at Browny at 100 mph and would be very happy to have Brown at CHF for the Crows. DT thinks Brown is a very good player. He never said Brown was crap

Exactly right. Every club in the league would love to have Brown on their list for he has undoubted potential that he hasn't yet realised. If he could harness his aggression and find some consistency over the course of a season rather than a few games here and there he will be rightfully take his place among the current superstars of the caper.

If we were a chance to land Brown I'd be ecstatic, then again, given the paucity of forward talent we've had to endure since Mods left I'd probably blow a gasket if we were a chance of landing Kent Kingsley

I went to the Port-Brisbane game tonight.

Tredrea was the difference between the 2 sides.

i can see chad's demise coming, he was directly responsible for two goals today. Doesnt put himself on the line much. Little rebound too. Two very poor games in a row.

Tredrea looks to have really bulked up, he is now a power forward. Will be interesting to see how much this adds to his game, while he didnt take mal on for body strength he wasnt intimidated by him either.

He wasnt the difference though, that was the fact that the lions just had no one at all to kick too. Brisbane with JB would have won today.

I was a guest at the Chairman's luncheon (why did they call it a luncheon when it started at 5 30 pm?) and then the corporate box for what was a very physical and enjoyable game.

I go to quite a few Power games during the year - via the corporate box of course. I just enjoy good footy and a bit of fun, and it's all free.

As for your comments on the game.

Chad Cornes is not an AA CHB on tonight's showing. He floats around picking up easy kicks, but made some bad skill errors as well as being as loose as a goose.

Tredrea was outstanding. If he played for the Crows jack, that one man could turn us into a well placed final 8 side.

Why he was the difference is because Port did have him on the field, while Brown wasn't.

Walsh and Primus were the other standouts for Port IMO.

Don't give them ideas. The last thing we need this week is for Cornes to go forward where he will actually hurt us, rather than run around picking up cheap posessions in defence.

Probably not as well known as the others, but I'd take Lindsay Gilbee from the doggies in a heartbeat. Some people will think I'm biased (AG n AE ) but that boy has talent, and he's still young. His foot skills are excellent and he can go and go. Down back, midfield or up forward, I'd love to see him in the Blue, Red and Gold. Given he's known as a half back flanker I guess he'd probably take Dogga's spot (you can all stop cheering) but I'd still love him at the club.
