What is everyones boss like? I would say 80% of people at my work hate my boss, he is very full on and over the top, makes us work in the rain never lets us go early if we are in the lunch room even 2 minutes before lunch or the end of the day he cracks it, if we are seen talking or anything he goes mad, he would be a good prison guard i reckon.

Re: Ur boss

Get along with my boss really well, will have beers together outside work regularly.

It helps that he is a Collingwood supporter as well, got along better after he realised that. He gets me tickets for the company corporate box/president lunch so he has someone to have a beer with, handy.

I got a new boss a few months ago, who replaced the best boss i've ever had in my life. Anyway, my replacement boss was the only person i've had conflict with in the 2 years i've worked in my current job.

When i found out he was going to be my new boss I called a meeting with his boss and told him that we have a history but i'm willing to give it a chance.

As it turns out he is a terrific and supportive line manager who is a great mentor. I go to him with conundrums that I can't sort out and he offers me different approaches he would take, he has great experience.

The turn in our relationship has taught me not to take work things too seriously as the previous tension between us was just project stuff (nothing personal) that happens all the time in my line of work.

I have a new job so my new boss is great but my previous boss was terrible. So self obsessed, never trusted anyone, took all the credit for others work and generally treated people in the team differently. The worst part about him was that he would be your best friend one minute, the next he would be treating you like a criminal.

Anyone who has a good boss, you are very lucky.

I get along well with the owners (my bosses) as they leave me alone and have the trust that i reliably do my job well. The manager (everyone elses boss) is a different story. Noone likes her, we've had probably an 80% turnaround of staff in the last 12 months because shes completely unsuitable to any sort of managerial role and can be quite abusive to the rest of the staff.

My boss is a partially deaf, recovering alcoholic, ex coke/meth head with bipolar disorder who is trying to quit smoking at the moment. He grew up on a farm in Midwest America and spent his time biting the balls of sheep for castration purposes because apparently the other methods were expensive. Because the crew can produce good numbers and he has been in the industry for a long time he keeps his job. The head office has no idea what he is really like, but routinely abuses workers and throws coffee cups around. Thankfully I don't work in the same area as him so I don't have to deal with him any more. A lot of people quit because of him, I would as well if I had to work with him.

I have a decent boss. Very reasonable when it comes to working in heat or rain. Gives us time off work for appointments and things like that. Has never refused leave applications. Shares his knowledge when appropriate. I couldn't ask for a better boss.

My boss is excellent. I work for a small environmental consulting firm.

My boss in my university part time job was good.

My boss in the brief part time job stint I had during high school was an arseh*le. Fast food outlets breed these types en masse.

Line manager was a bitch. She would get off on playing different mind games to **** with your head. When someone went to her to seek some advice or strategies to deal with problems, she would give you advice that was unachievable to fulfill.

Don’t use the word the very often, but I hated her with a passion.

Boss is a very nice guy. Over worked, and is whipped big time by the wife, don't know how he is so nice and happy all the time. Can be good as you can walk over him a bit but bad in that you get a little complacent sometimes.

Have a great boss. Pays well, supportive if you need time off for family or other reasons. And he gets employees willing to work the hours and put in the extra time outside normal work hours if required without grumbling as a consequence.

Once you go beyond the job being pushing a button or manning a till I think bosses and employees largely end up with ones they deserve over the long run. Employees with skills won't stay around for bosses that are shit and bosses that are good can get employees who aren't pricks. Certainly I wouldn't want some troglodyte union thug getting in the middle of the great working relationship I have with my boss.

Current boss is a top bloke, hardly hear from him and is more than accomadating if i need to leave early or have time off.

Previous boss who i worked for at another company was a 1st class w@nker, who threatened to sack me once, just because i asked him not to call me in my own time on a Sunday night with a work question. Wouldn't piss on him if i saw him on fire.

I have to smallish jobs. My dad is the boss of one of them and my uncle is the boss of the other...

Can get a bit awkward with my uncle as I'm not sure how far I can push him but my Dad and I have a relationship where we both give and take the same and have no ill effects...

My boss is female, and is universally disliked by the work group. Has an obsession with work attendance (to the extent where some have been having to come into work injured or sick just to keep her off our back) and machines that actually make the whole process of mail sorting SLOWER rather than concentrating on ensuring that mail is actually getting out on time and making sure that our work environment is actually safe. Have only really had only one personal problem with her, when I put a hole in the mens toilet door (after being pushed over the edge by a lazy bitch who only has a job because a relative is in a high ranking position and her husband is a truck driver). Tries to make decisions that in reality don't make ANY sense and doesn't help the processes one bit.

Mind you, she is the least of our concerns, there are at least 5 others in the workplace who are plain lazy and do very little but complain about having to take a step outside the lunchroom.

My supervisors (as opposed to the big boss) I get on well with apart from one who has thankfully now gone to another shift where I don't see her almost at all. They mainly let me get on with it, although one of them (a CROWS fan) likes to remind me of whenever the Doggies get done, and another (who was involved with the local QBL Women's team for a while) likes to get stuck in when the local team loses and blames it on me when I'm not even in the 1's!

Unauthorised installation of glory holes in the employee toilets are looked down on in most workplaces :thumbsu:

My bosses are very very good, I really do like them, They look after the workers, the middle manager goes for carlton and the big boss is a collingwood supporter, Had my pc carlton screen saver changed few times with a score board of pies vs blues, and it has been happening for a while now so me and the middle manager are waiting and waiting and waiting for the revenge.lol But Both are very cool and very very easy going sooo much trust that i can do what ever i want but i do work hard returning the faith.
