Anyone who doesn't have Judd as one of their favourites doesn't know footy.

I don't think I said you're not a true supporter if Judd isn't one of your favourite players.

Judd was one of my favourite players before he joined Carlton.

Just a freak and a gun without being a ******** like Buddy and Cousins.

It's still hard to believe he's wearing Navy Blue.

Bloody oath, TG. We all know he's a freak and we all love having him at PP. Talent doesn't automatically make him one of my favourites, though (although I'll admit he's right around the mark). And it doesn't make me any less of a supporter, I don't think.

As I said earlier in this thread, watching a player develop from someone struggling to cope at AFL level and being kicked by the opposition and some of our more presumptuous supporters, only to watch him develop into a more than capable footballer and shut up his critics creates an emotional bond to the player. The best examples of these at present would be Grigg and particularly Bower.

Though I will say that going back two years, Cousins was my favourite player in the competition (barring Blues) for much of the reasons you highlight above - though primarily, his never say die attitude whilst out on the field.

I dont particularly like Fev Judd or Stevo but i do know how good they are and how bad we would be without them. I like the underated players coz i like being one of the few with those players as my fav. I generally stick with players for a while and unfotunately my man Kennedy was traded. Jammo will be my fav until the day his shoulders force him out of the game. I CLAIMED HIM, HIS MINE!

He's probably not anyone's favourite player, but I reckon he has shitloads of potential - I'll be watching Mark Austin this year.

If he comes on in 2009 it gives our structure a lot more flexibility.
