I'd imagine we are highly likely to just go best available.

We could do with a ruck option with Leuey retiring, reducing our depth.
I reckon a mature lockdown small defender is on the cards with Baguley no longer capable and McNiece not really cutting it.

Other than that a bit of everything except tall defenders (acknowledging we probably pick up Mason Fletcher).

1. Outside Midfielders - Pacy wingers is what we're lacking the most in.
2. Small Forwards - We've got a lot of medium forwards, but with Garlett gone quiet we could definitely do with some traditional small crumbing forwards (This is exactly what our NGA Prospect Toby Bedford will provide).
3. General Midfielders/Half Back Flankers - With the likes of Jones, Lewis, Jetta, Hibberd, etc in the latter stages of their career it might be best for us to us at least one of our higher picks to future proof the side to replace some of the aforementioned players in the next few seasons by going for best available mids.
4. Tall Forwards/Utilities - Hogan leaves a sizeable hole in the team. Although I think many of us have growing confidence in Weideman playing 2nd Tall Forward as his form recently seems that his career is going to the next level. Other than the Weid and T-Mac, as well as the idea of playing Preuss as a third tall, our tall forward stocks are now rather slim. Tim Smith pretty much our only other tall forward. So it could be time to maybe grab the best available KPF who we can develop to take over from T-Mac in like 5-6 years+.

Also have a feeling we'll continue the Casey partnership by snagging C. Wagner and/or J. Lockhart as a late/rookie pick.

Inside midfielders, Ruck support who could hopefully step up in 2019. Best available.

You are in a great position to take a slider like Jack Higgins was last season. Best available for you.

Best available. Added bonus if the players are local or from Vic Country.

No pressing needs in the current team and we've already drafted 3 tall forwards hoping one will replace Josh Kennedy.

Nic Nat is 28 and always broken and Hickey and Vardy are triers. If we could find another good ruck to be ready to go in 2-3 years that would be nice.

Probably Briggs from the academy. Wont impact next year but our long term ruck stocks.

Maybe a project type tall forward.

Mostly the best talent available though.

Freo need an inside/clearance mid or two and a small lively forward.

Also another KPD may not go astray. Only have Pearce, Hamling and Cox.

1. Quality midfielders. Emphasis on pace, run and skill

2. Everything else. We're probably stocked for medium half backs and tall forward prospects but we're pretty lacking in every other area.

Just wait and watch us draft M. King and 3 medium half backs though

1) Medium forward with goal sense. We just play mids as forwards and badly need players with natural forward nous.

2) Medium defender with elite skills. Our back six are good defensively but pretty ordinary offensively when teams lock down on Tuohy.

3) Future KPP prospects. Had a big clear out of our tall depth so need to rejuvenate that part of our list.

Freo needs midfielders medium to big bodied ones and some prolific ball winners.
Also need medium fwds who can kick goals and it would be nice if they can rotate mid.
A kpd for development would also be handy.

Best available, with hopefully any tiebreaks going small forward > mid > backs > key forwards.

Don't have any position `set` enough to be able to be choosy at this stage. All spots could do with an extra injection of talent and depth, although I`m pretty confident in Curnow and McKay up forward.

Gonna have two midfielders with the first two picks (Thomas and Scott) so after that a small forward and a mature ruck (if we don't take someone like Tom Campbell as a DFA) would be the priorities.

Couple of things:

1. Pacy inside mids that can burst from the pack. From the mids we have, only the perennially injured Brouch can do this. Think Shuey/Shiel types, ones that can really break open a game
2. At least one KPP, doesn't really matter what position (KPF/KPD/ruck)
3. If not pacy inside mids, then pacy outside mids that are hard at it and pressure well
4. Probably an Sloane replacement too, although this isn't vital this year

Just wondering what types you think your club will be going after come draft night to balance out your lists.

I think your question was one of what the club wants to draft, not what we as supporters want them to draft?

If that is the case the club through Ross Lyon have said that they want to draft players with pace. They have also said they want to add more leadership.
