Surely Lekkas is your 2nd best midfielder & should be playing on the ball in front of both Mitchell & Vandenberg? Would have thought Hodge would step into the midfield mix too.

Lekkas is indeed our second best midfielder. But I'll suggest he lacks the power or the really good hands in close to get an on-ball spot. He has shown he can play there but his best spot is on a wing. Match-up wise, better against T.Johnstone wing types rather than J.Johnson power inside player types.

Hodge is too good a player to be in defence for long, considering he has the ability to play forward and presumably midfield. He should run the half-forward line for us next year, with stints in the middle.

Did I just read wrong.... or did you guys leave out Nathan Lonie in your line up? If so, why? By the looks of it, Nathan has the skill, pace and ability to play a 4 qtr half back/half forward role. I would fit him down at St.Kilda in a flash. I rate him as good as his twin brother Ryan.

Am I missing something about Nathan? Note: I didn't watch every hawks game so I may have missed some downsides about him.

Lonie has been reknown for being a tad soft, but in his last few games I did see improvements in that area.
