Stood up today. Really happy with his effort esp. with Griffin coming off in the second half.

He'll be a star in a few years.

Formidable effort considering the weight on his shoulders in the second half. His inexperience didn't really show at all.

How long do you reckon Sandi has as a full time ruck (Based on age/wear and tear)?

Clarke and Griffin look to be a nice replacement combo when the time comes. Build up both their tanks and the advantage of 2 solid, aggressive ruckman will shine nicely, moving Sandi up forward more often as the big target when his time comes.

I think Scham and I have been lone voices on rating this bloke for years.

Has loads of talent. Not surprising when the challenge was thrown he'd stand up.

I think there's room enough in this team to have the 3 of them anyway. West Coast have a rather large collection of tall timber and it seems to work well enough for them, it may even lengthen Sandi's career if he spends more time in the forward line instead of 20-25 minutes a quarter in the ruck and around the ground..Zac Clarke showed today that he's got all the tools to become an important part of our team for a long time to come in pretty much any position and Griffin will always be a good, solid ruckman and he's decent around the ground..signs on this front all looks pretty good..

Yeah pretty much what I was suggesting. Sure Sandi's strength is obv. in the ruck, but if he plays for another 2 years because he's playing 20 less minutes as main ruck, it's a winner as long as Griffin and Clarke keep on showing they've got what it takes.

Wouldn't play all three yet but eventually.

Any idea what happened with Griff today btw?

Apparently he's injured his groin..but that's only what I've just been reading in the last 20 minutes online so can't confirm

From his effort today including the 10 tackles, he keeps his spot once 211 is back.
He can play ruck, wing and forward and has the tank to go all day, where as Griffin just seems like a traditional ruckman/resting forward.

Top effort Mr Zafro Clarke!

That's why I think we can have Griffin/Sandilands share ruck duties and play Zac pretty much anywhere and he do carry the ruck load around the ground in large part. When we get them all fit it'll be a good dilemma to have.

Very excited by his game today, when he matures he will be a very handy player. His tackling has been superb this year and running down Cox was awesome. Just needs to bulk up and start winning some more hitouts.

For all the hype over the guy from down the road he was outplayed by our quiet side project today who is turning into a real gem!

Great Tackler, Great Engine, Great Skills... And showed alot of poise and tried his guts out when grif got subbed!!!

I would be hoping for a good few years out of Sandi. Ruckmen can usually stay a round a bit longer. It all depends if how that giant frame can cope with the demands place on it. Must say I am still really concerned with his toe injury.

Like many i paniced when i heard that Griffin was subbed off..... How was Clarke going to cope? I thought he was brilliant, was 50/50 about this guy but really won me over today.

10 tackles from the big man. Just the 8 hitouts though against a great tandem. Too bad Christensen has the RS nomination sewn up.
Only the 8? Thought he got more than that tbh.

Cox was tremendous in the third quarter - 19 hit outs to advantage or something ridiculous. Taking nothing away from Clarke who was great today... it's an impossible task for a rookie ruckman to go up against two of the very best with no support for a half.
