A good trade leaves both clubs a bit unsure.
Smedts' record leaves a lot to be desired but a lot of Geelong people have faith in him. Let's hope Bolts can turn him around.

If Geelong's future first can net us some GWS boys, and we can hit the draft with 4 picks in the top 30 (pending Gibbs trade) or so, we can't say SOS hasn't achieved his aims.

He can keep tagging Murphy......to the waiting room at the Carlton Physio's office, to the Carlton rehab room, at the specialist's rooms, to the Epworth hospital etc. Potentially also take under his wing the rest of our young recruits, Marchbank, Pickett and co. He could lead a peloton of those 1 leg scooter things the rehab group drives around the boundary at Ikon park.
 
Geelong is the team I am hoping that will crash and burn more than any other team next year with the exception of Hawthorn (the AFL's designed $35 million club).

Henderson and Tuohy are the prime reasons I want them down the ladder. Injuries, such as a hamstrings I wouldn't cry if it happened to them. Not much respect there for them. "Mr Honesty" and "Mr Loyalty".
Good riddance.

If Dangerfield is out, they are cooked..

Huh...your confusing me or yourself? You posed the question 'what makes people think it will be our 2nd round pick?'
I answered, 'because the rules stipulate you have to trade your own (end of year ladder position) pick.

For example, we have just officially traded our 2017 2nd round pick to Geelong. This doesn't mean that if we get a hold of another 2nd round pick we can simply trade that. It doesn't work like that.

If we get hold of a pick (2016 or 2017) we are entitled to trade it (just like we did with the Henderson pick) however if we enter into a trade that involves, for example, our first round pick next year - that pick has to be the exact pick we receive in accordance to our end of year ladder position.
 
Taking a moment to thank Tuohy for his time at Carlton: well done Zach you were incredibly underrated and held down the fort while bringing some excitement at the other end of the ground.

Shame a few others didn't lift when required like you did. Good luck!
 
Fair trade when you remember Tuohy wanted to leave. Smedts could still prove valuable averaged 23-24 touches the last 2 years in the VFL probably needed a change of scenery.

Cats first round pick could be used in a trade or it could be say 12-18 depending on where they finish and hopefully we finish around 14th to 10th and we win easily on this trade.

That's a little alarming considering that was Taylor Hunt and not Billie Smedts...

They wouldn't have delisted him, he wasn't even out of contract.
