How many clubs aside from Essendon would have had Zaharakis as their 2011 best and fairest?

The kid is a good player, that is not in dispute.

Please provide comments.

Why does it matter?

It's no secret Watson would have won it if he hadn't done his hammy. Why do you care if Zaharakis won Essendon's B&F or not?

I wish to gauge where opinions stand. I have my own views on the matter, but perhaps I can be enlightened as to otherwise. Feel free to add constructive comment.

This is not what this poll/discussion is about.

Everyone is aware that essendon is short on A-GRADERS, but Watson wouldve won by a country mile if he had played a full season, as well as Hocking and Hurley

No need for the poll but the only team I could see him winning it in would be Port, maybe brisbane depending on how much midfield time he gets

The question is not about who could have won Essendons best and fairest aside from Zaharakis.

It's a moot point though, it's an question that cannot be answered. All it is, is hypothetical nonsense.

99% of internet football discussion would fall under this category.

Guys (I assume), this is getting off topic and I'm not really interested in continually going back and forth discussing the merits of the poll, feel free to contribute to the topic at hand. If you decide to make a similar poll/discussion on Andrew Swallow then I will happily participate.

Poll seems as valid as some of the other polls I've seen on here. :D

At the Suns, he'd probably rank in the top 5 based on his output this year. Behind Gaz and Bock, but could see him pushing for 3-5. Someone like Zaha would probably be a bit of a stand-out in an otherwise very young side like GC. Has a bit of a bigger body which certainly helps out.

With that said, out of everyone in the competition, Zaha would rate very highly in the most improved category. Would not be surprised if he moved into general A-Grade level next year with yet another pre-season in him.

Who knows.

99% of Essendon supporters didn't have him as our B&F, but the coaches - the guys that run the show - did.

So even if supporters of North, for example, rated him their 6th or 7th best (which I did for us), the coaches might've seen differently.

You can't compare b&f finishes because essendons is heavily stilled towards playing every game.

but he would not have won it at many other teams. He isn't in our top 3 players but he is underated by most other supporters purely because he wasn't a top 10 pick

He wouldn't have placed in the Top 10 in the B&F at either Geelong or Collingwod.

Saw a lot of improvement in him this year, but every time I think of him I just recall a terrible decision he made earlier in the year which cost them a game.

And it depends on the B&F system of each club as said above.

Refresh my memory? Which incident?

Late in the last though I can't remember against who earlier in the season. You guys were behind, not by much and were coming back strongly got within a goal. Zaharakis got the ball at half back, tried to do too much by foot, turned the ball over and killed all momentum when the opposition ran in for an easy goal. Still remember it as being an absolute shocker of a decision.

Could be remembering things wrong though :)

He would have done well in most clubs b&f's averaging over 1.3 goals a game and 20+ disposals is pretty by anyones standards.

Hardly a reasonable thread no matter how it is disguised as genuine discussion.

It is a shot at Essendon and nothing more and Bay 13 may be more suitable for this poll.
