It has been a while since I won my EKA Medal, and I was honoured just to be nominated, let alone win it, but looking back, I feel that there was something terrible about the EKA Medal which I failed to realise when I was nominated, and even after I won. In fact, I realised this shocking fact a couple of weeks ago (although I may have known, and it just didn't sink in to my memory), and I feel that this issue needs to be addressed.

The EKA Medal race was tight, with many worthy nominees...and 2121. But do not depair, this isn't going to be another boring 2121-bashing thread, unless he makes it otherwise. But I will touch on him a lot, as I feel that he was a much less worthy nominee then the person I am basing this thread on.

How on Earth could Chezwick not have been nominated for the EKA Medal. He was such a good poster for the Shagons, I actually thought he wasn't a first-year poster last year. He would have been a much better nominee then 2121. I am not taking shots at Doggies, I would just like to know how Chezwick was not even a nominee.

He has now stepped into a leadership position in the Dragons squad, and despite a slighty scary tendancy to reveal a little more skin then necessary, and often having a blood alcohol content that could kill a lesser person, he has taken on that leadership position with fantastic confidence, skill and, well, leadership.

So can I please have an explanation as to why he was not nominated. I don't this to be seen as me having a go at anyone, I just want to know why someone like Chezwick wasn't nominated, when someone like 2121 was.

Lol, there is a general procedure used to come up with the nominees and it begins with nomination by a clubs captain.

Shagons did have some good young posters last year and tim_saints, Chezwick>Tim_saints I'll probably get flamed by some Baghdad players yet some of tim_saints post were utter tripe. I like Chezwick, as long as he keeps his pants on while playing us....

How long were you even here for last season? And all very well you guys thinking Tim Saints > Chezwick, doesn't effect anything. It's just a pitty that sentiment wasn't shared by the captain of both players at the end of last season.

Good write up Cil, by the sounds of things LJP didn't nominate him, but like yourself, he may not have realised that Chez was a first year.

Chez, like Cormick, is a very much underrated player externally but I feel that all that may change when we get some more success this year!

I don't think its a big deal really. Zaints deserved it fully and while I appreciate the kind comments, I don't want my absence on the voting last year take anything away from Zaints. He was the worthy winner of the EKA medal, end of story.

He was a worthy winner but take nothing away from the Tim_saints, Breeno and BILC (who cheated and knew it ) when you have a respectable member on the voting panel who told others to vote for a certain player because he thought he was the best man to win the medal it takes away the fact that there are others voting with their own opinions.

But in the end Zaintia was a worthy winner
