So I had a bit of luck go my way at the casino last weekend. Thought "**** it, I'll buy an Xbox One".

I've had it for about 5 days now and I am really liking this system, controlling (almost) everything by voice works so well. Browsing over at my PC screen while telling the Xbox to do something without having to use the controller is brilliant. I much prefer the Xbox UI to the PS4 UI, although I wish some things were a little faster. Bringing up your friends list takes longer than it should. I do like how I can pin people to the favourites section for easy access to send invites, messages etc.

The controller is incredible, I love the Dualshock 4 but this beats it imo, they've taken the 360 controller and just made it better. The rumble triggers are a great inclusion.

Definitely don't regret buying it, makes me way more excited for Microsoft's E3 presentation now, especially if that rumoured Halo collection is announced.

If that's seriously how you obtained it I'll just about have an aneurysm in jealousy.

On the friends list, local azure servers will speed that up. At present you're going to Hong Kong to get those details

Dead serious. I rarely go because I normally lose, definitely had a s**t tonne of luck that night.
Unreal. Must offer my congratulations before my head hits the keyboard leaving behind an unintelligible string osgajfjhlfhlfhlfh.

I need to get up at the casino/TAB one of these days. Don't gamble very often, but I need a PS4 and a new laptop ;)

If you think that's cool I'll be buying mine (and maybe enough for a Wii U) with gift vouchers I won going to a raffle and beating heaps of old people.

Excellent. Putting it to far better use than they would.

Nice! Welcome to the XB1 club.
I like a bit of a punt myself on the horses, wouldn't mind winning enough for a PS4 and Wii U =P

What games did you get with it?

Forza Horizon 2 announced for One and 360.

Looks like the XB1 & 360 versions are being handled by different studios.
XB1 version will be based on the Forza 5 engine whilst the 360 version will be based on the Horizon 1 engine.

''Development is being handled primarily by Horizon 1 studio Playground Games, though the team is collaborating closely with the Motorsport team at Turn 10 Studios; the two teams share a technology pipeline as well as select key personnel.

In making the leap to Xbox One, Forza Horizon 2 will include hundreds of cars, according to Playground Games, headlined by the 2015 Lamborghini Huracán. A long-awaited weather system will also make its Forza debut, while Forza 5’s Drivatar system is also being adapted for Horizon 2.

- - the game will take place in gorgeous Southern Europe, leading to, in Fulton’s words, “incredible diversity” and “amazing vistas.” Music will again play a big part in the game, and a music festival will be the central event around which the game’s activities revolve.''
