He sold 80m too but you conveniently ignore that. If he added 100m to last season's squad a title challenge would be expected.
However after Tottenham sold Bale and spent 100m, Rodgers came out and said they should've been challenging for the league. How is that situation any different to this season with Liverpool?

Because it is Liverpool and somehow when Liverpool do the same thing as other clubs, it's different and you get some bullshit reasoning behind it.

You still spent 100m on players, net spend or not.

We sold the best player in the league and haven't replaced him. One of the other best players in the league has also barely kicked a ball this season. There's absolutely no way any manager would challenge for the title under those circumstances no matter how desperate you are for it to be the case.

Just the small matter of the second highest scorer in the league barely kicking a ball this season. And no Suarez replacement signed.

No other manager would replace suarez with marquee and lambert. Forget your other signings. That's your problem. We replaced Ronaldo with Obertan :D

And that's somehow more than Tottenham losing the best player in the league?

Get your hand off it mate.

Love to see how Jose would have fared this season if he had of sold Hazard & Costa spent most of the season injured.
If we sold Hazard we would have redistributed the money well because Emenalo is a good businessman and Mourinho is a good manager.

Did they have their second best player out for half the season?
You're just helping my argument that Liverpool should be doing better!

Tottenham were LITERALLY Bale and friends. Liverpool at least have Sturridge who while injured is still able to perform occasionally.

If Hazard was sold we would have spent the money wisely (like we did when we sold Mata, KDB, Luiz etc) and would be still there abouts. A very good player (like Costa, Luis, Matic, Fab etc) would have been bought. Unlike you guys we can pay the top salaries to get the top players.

If Costa was injured (like he has been a few times) Remy and Drogba would step up (like they have).

We would still be around where we are now.

Don't think you should comparing Rodgers and Mou.

If they're so good and Rodgers is such a poor manager how did they ever manage to finish behind him last season?
First season under a new manager, squad not ready and let's be honest some really poor losses to opposition we would beat 8 times out of 10.

This season you're seeing us perform around the mark that we weren't close to last season. You know how we got there? Good business. Identified our targets in Matic, Fabregas and Costa, got in and got the job done with no fuss.

lol. Sturridge has played twice this season and was second highest scorer in the league last season. Suggesting that hasn't had a huge impact borders on the absurd.
