Serena beat her twice in arguably one of her worst seasons on tour last year. Both straight sets. Wouldn't say Serena was anywhere near GOAT tennis then.

Maria was hardly at her best last season as well save for a month on the clay. I do wish Maria added variety but she has her shoulder issue.
