Yeah people make too much money, other clubs get hand outs, I don't agree with taxing the big clubs as a Hawks supporter but if they want to have an 18 club competition for a few more years they need to keep some of those clubs going to we can continue to win more flags than them

So the $wans make a profit of $846,000 but receive around $12 million in handouts, I'm amazed that they didn't receive $22 million in handouts, so they could record a $10,846,000 profit, just so they could show how well they travelling in Sydney.

the best part is that on their board they are 'proud' of the club making a profit and talking up how well they have done. No mention of the handouts of course.

Don't think the $12 Mill. was for assistance it was AFL distribution money ,we received $10.5 mill. but they still received $1.5 more than us.

Well, sad times for some clubs. The clubs who can keep their stars around on smaller paychecks will be swimming in flags, and once teams figure out that paying one player 10% of your cap doesn't work, the big deals will end, just as 5+ year deals stopped for a while in the early 2000's.

I decided to watch the soccer tonight...thought the odds of seeing a goal or two were a bit higher.

that makes sense, as the 12 mil included COLA
so 1.5 mil in COLA is probably about right

Ours also included the 1.5 mil for winning the whole thing, so closer to $3 mill more than us ( I think anyway)
