Was his captaincy in the first innings that good though? Broad, Anderson and Robinson bowled 12/11/14 overs with the first ball. Less than half the overs. While Moeen bowled 26 at 4.5 an over letting us off the hook

He was far from perfect, but I still say he was in another league compared to Pat. We got in the positions we did more due to individual performances rather than smart strategy and planning.
