I just watched a highlights clip of Jake Lever ... holy ****.

How do we rig the draft to get him?

I can't see him lasting past GWS' picks. looks talented though. He was my pick to be number 1 this year before the knee injury. Has the intercept marking of Hansen/Taylor but also has the one on one ability of McPharlin.

Ahern would be a terrific pick.

I've watched a couple of clips Pykie and it seems, this is just from clips that his kicking lacks a bit of penetration. The other thing is on couple of occasions and again this is just in the clips he lacked composure and just blazed away into the forward 50.

Interested in your thoughts.

Those crazy kids at the H*rald S*n have put out a top 31 phantom draft:

16. NORTH MELBOURNE

Nakia Cockatoo (NT Thunder)

H: 186cm W: 86kg

Midfielder/forward

Explosive and powerful midfielder-forward soared up the charts late in the year with a best on ground performance in the AFL Grand Final curtain-raiser. Spent some time at Arden St earlier in the year and sizzled in the Draft Camp, winning the repeat speed and kicking test. Would add some spice to the Roos’ midfield forward mix.

The twist: The Roos could also nab Corey Ellis or Jarrod Garlett or pull a surprise and move on versatile midfielder Daniel McKenzie.

25. NORTH MELBOURNE

Daniel McKenzie (Oakleigh Chargers)

H: 184cm W:78kg

Utility

Smooth-moving left-footer would give the Roos some more gloss on the outside of the contest as they plan for life after Brent Harvey and Daniel Wells. Has nice athleticism and agility which enables him to compete in the air and on the ground. Produced a strong finish to the season, bolstering his draft ranking late.

The twist: The Roos are looking to bolster their defence and have their eye on Oscar McDonald.

Duggan went at 8, Weller at 11, Ahern at 12, Lever at 14, Langford at 15, Ellis at 20 and R. McKenzie at 21.

Well, I'm an idiot.

You're logic still holds. The Herald Sun would have disregarded Port. Port supporters don't read the Herald Sun 'cause they're in Adelaide and they can't read.
