If this Brisbane/Beams stuf is true how about:
Brisbane:
In - Beams
Out - Pick 4, Leuenberger
GWS:
In: - Leuenberger
Out - 1 of: Coniglio, Shiel, Smith, Treloar, Hoskin-Elliot
Collingwood:
In - Pick 4, 1 of Coniglio, Shiel, Smith, Treloar, Hoskin-Elliot
Out - Beams

Fair enough, would throwing something else to GWS help?
Carlton gave westcoast (No. 3 and 20) and josh-k for juddIf this Brisbane/Beams stuf is true how about:

Why would GWS want Luenberger when they have Mumford, Giles, Phillips, Downie, Lobb and Patton, Boyd and Stewart that can help out?
Fair enough, didn't realise they had that many that can help out in the ruck.
Mumford is getting on, Giles is also ageing, the rest are not true rucks. They need someone around 23 to 26 to fill the hole.
But they are not stupid and Leuenberger is not good enough due to injury to generate a trade for a gun young mid. It would have to be one of their second stringer mids who are struggling for game time.

What is this, the Collingwood Superannuation Scheme? We don't want any more run down, tired old has-beens. If we can't recruit a ruckman that can offer up something extraordinary, why even look at him? Witts is going well, and Grundy is just hanging in there. They're both young guys who have plenty of improvement ahead of them. We don't want another Lynch type import, that results on one of these guys leaving like Dawes did.Really..?
Leuenberger has played 28 games in the last 3 years. Extremely injury prone. I would not be comfortable with that deal.
Wouldn't mind rookie listing Polkinghorne and giving him another crack. He's only 25.
To put it in perspective. His best season he averaged 16 touches and 3.8 tackles a game, kicked 14 goals in 2011.
Jarryd Blair this year has averaged 15 touches, 5.6 tackles a game and kicked 12 goals.
He's 9cm taller than Blair.
Maybe a change of scenery is just what Polkinghorne needs.
Yeah I would do the deal if another club was keen on Leunenberger for a decent pickWe don't need Leuenbrger and both GWS and GC need a ruckman so on trade him for a mid? Pock 4 and a decent mid? I would hate to lose Beams but we do have guys like Adams, Thomas and Freeman who may be able to cover some of his output. We desperately need to improve the depth of our midfield and bring in some guys with real run and carry and elite foot skills.
You'd want to know why he hasn't been playing but it's worth consideration.
With Caff and Scharenberg long odds to play 2015 we might need rookies of a mature age who can step in.
All this speculation about the club trading out Beams calls for the only sensible response ....... AS IF!
No way, no chance, no how - ain't gonna happen.
If Beams wants to go to Brisbane (I don't believe this personally) and they are willing to trade a player + pick 4, then I want Mayes, not Leuenberger.
