I haven't read all the posts, but surprised not to read more positive comments on George Hewett.
I think 31 possessions with pretty high effectiveness. Getting back to some of his old great form.
Will help cover for some of the injuries.
Was also happy to see Dow put in a reasonable game.
Walsh is our main concern not playing this week and SOS to a lesser extent.
But if we get Crippa, cerra & martin playing we, should be a reasonable chance, on our current form.
A win against the PIES, will be the best thing for the players and the us loyal fans for 2023.
Go Blues.
Think Hewett just does it with no flashy stuff. Rock solid dependable and quicker than he looks.

George is back to his best … no doubt … Walsh and Jsos out cannot be covered however … only way we win this is if they’re 5% to 10% off and we play out of our skins …

Love Hewitt, but it would be good if he could go forward a bit more through the stoppage. He tends to look for/go backwards first reaction

Just finished the replay.
A few observations on things that don't really show up watching live when we ride the drama of it.

1. West coast in the first half clearly making sure not to compromise the number one pick.
2. Even if they had tried their best we smashed them in a half regardless.
3. Second half we clearly and deliberately played with much less intensity and gave them space to practise their drills.

We did what was needed in the 2nd half, backed off due to the number of early injuries and conserved energy

So that’s his role when he plays in the middle? If he wins the ball to bring it out the back side of stoppage?
It's everyone's role, play to your ability and use your teammate in better positions.

Been freshening to see, for instance, someone like Walsh handball to a teammate on the move rather than burn them and kick long.

That's been the change in our winning streak. Give it to players in better positions and play within your ability
