It does seem like a rule that needs adjusting - given the umpire ALWAYS goes tv review for a run out, why does it matter whether there's an appeal?

The team does not need to risk anything unlike a regular review?

You can hear someone in the stump mic saying "howzat" at the same time he says "no appeal".

That’s what I thought

In fact it almost sounds like he’s responding to the “How’s that” with the answer “There was no appeal”.

Does fall into that grey area as you clearly don’t need to appeal for a bowled or a clear runout when the batter has slipped or something.

That’s the second time tonight the captain has had to drag Tim David away from the umpire. These average cricketers who think their so entitled is a getting a joke. David should be suspended for dissent

If there is no appeal what is he reviewing? There is no appeal for anything for him to review

Stoinis was being a petulant brat with that pretend appeal but bloody hell if that doesn't go to show you how silly that rule is

Because the umpires always refer to TV umpire on run outs unless its ridiculously obvious like both players down one end of the ground. And there is no need for the players to risk a review to ever check a close run out.

Logically, the rule should be changed to just review anything close, like how they check every ball for a NB
