Congrats Aus i guess you deserved it. Dont get too confident though.

Also good to see theres a few more Australian supporters on Bigfoot this test :p

Now for the bad news

NO chance of a result for the Boxing day test. None whatsoever. Rain will ruin it

Rain will destroy the first day of the Syndey test and interrupt the 2nd day meaning Australias only chance of winning back the Ashes is to pull of a similar result like this as in a 3 and a half day victory over the Poms. Cant see it happening

Are you a meteoroligist or something mate? I've got 27 and sunny for Melbourne Christmas day, where are you getting the forecast from?

Where are you looking for the weather forecast?

Weather channel mainly plus looking at the actual satellite pictures themselves. Boxing Day no chance whatsoever of a result. Sydney theres still a fair chance the rain will only interrupt the first day if that.

Dont really think Australia can rely on a win at the SCG of all places. Those conditions will suit England to a tee

WTF?

10 day forecasts at the moment say only a 30% chance of rain on the first 4 days of the Melbourne Test, and there is no such thing as a forecast for the first day of the Sydney Test, it's too far away to judge.

At the moment, you would think Melbourne may lose 2-3 sessions throughout the whole test, but if anything, the forecast weather is 10 times better then the last week here has been.

Australia will win in Melbourne, in 4 days, setting up a decider in Sydney.:thumbsu:

Plus, the weather channel is bullshit, most inaccurate forecasts in Australia.

Here's a 10 day forecast for the Kew area (20kms from the G);

i think someone is pissed off at the fact the poms just got flogged. i doubt the poms like playing at sydney much.they don't win much there either. 2 wins in 40 years

What are you talking about?

Every weather forecast I have seen for Melbourne has it fine for all 5 days - http://weather-climate.com/mel.html

That forecast was done on Wednesday matty123

Theres 30% chance of rain on the 2nd day, then its 80, 80, 80 (ie as high as they go). Rain will interrupt the 2nd day and destroy the next 3.

Weather forecasts being unerringly and absolutely accurate as they are........

The things with weather forecasting that far ahead is that you also have to take into account progression of systems, it's entirely unlikely that the G will get torrential downpour for a sustained period to washout entire sections of play over Boxing day, more probably is it will catch the fringe of systems that inherently drift south towards Tassie.
