The reality is he hasn't been fit enough (injury and general fitness) basically post-bye of 2021. His goal against Hawthorne will always be cherished for all of us but it's time.

Now that I know tomorrow is his farewell game, I'm excited to have tickets again.

I know it's the right decision, but at his peak he was my favourite player to watch in the red and black, so I'm glad I get to be part of his send off!

Im sad he couldn't get back to his best but this feels like closure and at least he goes out on his own terms with a proper send off. Like others have said hopefully he remains at the club in the off-field capacity.

I'm sad we won't see him light it up on a regular basis anymore, but if I'm to be honest, I did most of my grieving about this after his first retirement. I've always viewed this period as an unlikely bonus.

Nevertheless, I hope he has one almighty game left in him.

i feel like his step out of retirement was to help the davey’s & munkara settle into life in melbourne and at the club.

he was one of my favourites from his debut because he always competed hard & while it’s a shame that he couldn’t regain his fitness, i don’t think anyone at the club minded- i just know they all loved his contributions all levels.

as i’ve said i do hope he sticks around in some capacity at the club, it’d be a good gesture and might also provide our forwards with a lesson in forward craft

Universally loved league wide. What a highlight reel this man has. Two that stick out for me , winning goal v norf and a goal at The G on the run to seal it v carlton, punt road end, standing room went beserk.
