Martin McKinnon was a nom in 1995. Very good player he was too.

Simon goodwin played an absolute ripper of a game in 97 on the HBF against footscray in the prelim..Game number 8 I rekon...

Flawed nomination system...

Ben Hart would have won it if it started in 1992

Let's just claim it anyway -

pretty sure it was called rookie of the year back then, and it wasn't an official prize. but i'm sure he won it

still can't remember too many 17-18 years olds that made the AA team like he did in 92-93-94 (or whenever it was)

Ten RS noms on our list, is that some kind of record?

ONE nomination between the 2000 season and the 2008 season
Depressing isn't it?! During those years people were saying that we never got one because of the Victorian bias when in actual fact, we never had players good enough and those that were good enough were ineligible because we groomed them in SANFL for 4 years before either giving them debut or delisting them!

Or simply refused to draft anyone under the eligibility age limit. Thanks Gary!
