Other AFL/NFL Player Comparisons

Seen this on the Basketball board

i.e.
Chris Judd = Lebron James (the franchise player)
Jeff Famer = Stephon Marbury (arrogant, cocky, flashes of brillance)
Scott West = Jason Kidd (Mr Consistency, consistently feeds his team mates)
Simon Goodwin = Paul Pierce (underrated)
Shaquille O'Neal = Matthew Richardson (Kicking and shooting free throws is a big hassle )
Justin Kosi = Grant Hill (dominant when healthy, never healthy)

So thought I'd have a go NFL style:

Chris Judd = LaDanian Tomlinson (big name, lots of carries, impact player)
Jonathan Brown = Tom Brady (championships, instant success)
Jason Akermanis = Terrell Owens (big mouth, disruptive, dropped from team)
Nathan Buckley = Brett Favre (individual success, dominate in their prime, big plays, on the decline, and widely hated by rival supporters)
Brett Rutten = Julius Peppers (defensive stud)
Peter Bell = Warrick Dunn (small, battlers, produce, player advocates)

??

Peyton Manning = ??
Michael Vick = ??
Randy Moss = ??

How about this one?

Chris Judd <=> Reggie Bush (Dynamite Kid, overlooked in the draft and clubs will regret it for years)

Reality vs Potential. Can't be compared whatsoever. How many young 'big name / reputations' have hit the wall over the years. I prefer to see what becomes of Bush in a team that hasn't GOT a solid O-line to guarentee anything regardless who steps in as QB or RB. The other thing to note is the creative side of the Saints coaching staff.

Thats a bit harsh!

Terrell Owens = Woodson (dummy spitter)

:D I like your humour. But FFS, he/she can at least spell POLAMALU correctly !! (it's the little things)

No respect given either way, that's the reason for the harsh reaction. T.Cook

I hear Joey Porter is whinging about his contract.
Find and post the details footylover. Credibility is about having substance to your posts.

Only thing about Joey Porter I know about is his knee surgery.

Steelers LB Porter needs more knee surgery
NFL.com wire reports
PITTSBURGH (May 23, 2006) -- Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Joey Porter is expected to have arthroscopic knee surgery as early as May 24, less than a year after having loose cartilage removed from his left knee.

The Steelers did not say which knee requires surgery.

Porter took part in the Steelers' minicamp May 13-15, but has missed the voluntary coaching sessions held since then. The three-time Pro Bowl linebacker worked out on his own May 23 at the team's practice complex.

Porter missed most of training camp and the four preseason games last summer after needing knee surgery -- a problem aggravated when he jumped in the air to celebrate winning a training-camp blocking competition. He returned to play in the Super Bowl champions' 16 regular-season games and four playoff games.

And if anyone cares to drag the Santonio Holmes arrest to my attention.....ppffft? disorderly conduct in a hotel...whoppee do.
