I've been watching the English players form with interest too, they'd be pretty happy with the way that most of them have started the season. Bell, Cook and Ballance have all been making plenty of runs. It will be very interesting to see what they decide to do in choosing an opener to partner Cook - Carberry didn't do a bad job of it in Australia and has started the season well, Robson made a big ton a week ago and Compton's been making a few as well. From reports, it seems that Prior is the favourite to reclaim his spot back for the Sri Lankan series.

Sounds like Siddle is starting to work his way back into some better form, albeit not as effective as we'd like him to be playing below international level.

By most accounts Siddle doesn't look like he has regained any pace. Pretty concerning giving we're likely to be missing all of Harris, Pattinson and Bird against Pakistan

I wonder if someone like Starc or Cutting could overtake him with a good A series.
