You said Longer was getting a game over Hickey - a blatant lie:
So are you going to admit given how obvious the evidence is, or try and backtrack like crazy instead?
Thought Grundy had the better of Longer tonight. Thoughts?

Ruck work was even Grundy got on the end of a bit more ball as he should when you win by ten . Thought Longer was harshly done by for being in a better position by the umpires more than once.
Was a good contest. I though that Grundy generally beat Longer in the the ruck contest, when they were contested against each other. When Longer was against others he was outstanding. Beautiful tap outs to advantage etc. However Grundy vs Longer, Grundy was just to strong. Longer in the end had to resort to pushing Grundy in the back to beat him.
Anyway two future ruck greats. Both look good.

Didn't see it that way at all. It was a even contest with the umpire getting involved anytime Billy used strength to gain position. Billy's hands are defenatly softer when hitting to mids while Grundy clears the area.
Can agree that Billy's taps were more to advantage, when he won them. However Grundy often took the ball out of the ruck cleanly and was able to move Longer off the ball fairly easily. Grundys strength was to much for longer in most contests. Longers answer was to come in from the back and push into Grundys back to win taps. Against White and Gault, Longer was to good and dominated.

Until the second quarter and the turn from the umpires it was a battle of strength. Then Longer was pinned twice for rubbish frees and he changed tact.
Let's not talk about the umpires for once mate.

That was the worse I'd seen and that's saying something considering we've had howlers such as the Milne free on Harry O to hand you guys a win. Tonight was horribly biased.

We have Hickey. Again the bias is boring.
Longer has been in some good form over the last few weeks. Personally I think Grundy won tonight.. However Longer has shown he will be a future prospect.

I agree, both good prospects.
I think Grundy has more X Factor about him for a ruckman.
What? They might be decent players in the future but greats? Come off it. Neither would get a game in half the teams in the comp.

Was a good contest, Grundy won it but Longer has some very nice tapwork going. Both going to be very good players.
Next step for Grundy is too improve the effectiveness of his disposals, a lot are currently just hacks forward. It's not easy to find times in packs but if he can do that he'll take another step up.

Grundy's the better player right now, but I feel like Longer has more potential.
a little less than one year actually.
Hickey will be a decent player, but Grundy will be better imo.
