I'm with you but we can't have another year without finals. It will be a disaster for Adelaide on all fronts. No top player will want to come here.

The Eagles are looking at tougher times despite being flush with money.
Speaking on Nine's Footy Classified, Wilson expected long-time Eagles CEO Trevor Nisbett to be the "first casualty", but suggested Simpson may not be far behind.

Simpson should have gone months ago imo. It's a win win for both to negotiate a settlement. Simpson's brand is now trashed.

Bahahaha.. wow.. double down why dont you!..

Putting aside that Goodwin and the Dees tanked the fxxk out of 2019..

You are talking about, and using as examples of, two sides in the Lions and Dees whos midfield stocks have been among the comps best in the last few years!.

We’ve had, and still have, laird, sloane (who we’ll give another year), keays, mcrouch (who we should delist but probably wont now he’s had “a good game”)

We have Dawson who’s looking great as a mid.

Then we have a whole heap of kids who we sometime give mid time to but most of the time we shun..

We are in nowhere near the same situation the lions or dees were in 2018-2021..
and its just utterly delusional to claim we are simply by putting up a graph and saying “look at this, look at this.. we’re going great”
Where is the evidence that the Dees tanked? Thats just assumptions and opinions.

The Lions Midfield has been great for a long time. Even when down the bottom in 2017 and 2018 they had Beams, Rockliff and Zorko in their primes. Good midfield doesnt make a team. McCluggage was lining up on HF, same as we have done to Rachelle. Now, years later McCluggage and Berry are pretty good, Neale was a great trade, and they have some high draft picks coming through in the middle.

Melbourne in 2019 sucked. Their big name mids were just hitting that 60 game mark at the start of that year. Now Petracca, Hunter, Oliver, Langdon, Brayshaw, Viney (regardless of where they started their careers) are all 26 to 29 and in their prime. Start of this year we had 1 mid in that age bracket.

McCluggage and Berry didnt get a lot of mid time early on. Petracca was a forward. It happens to players at other clubs too.

How can you say there arent some similarities with how Rachelle and Pedler are playing HF or forward early on, just like Petracca, Berry, McCluggage? I havent searched team line ups from Viney, Brayshaw, Hunter, Langdons early games. Just have a look at last weeks lineups, Phillipou, Phillips, Humphrey, Woewodin, MacDonald, Fletcher, Henry, Caldwell. All up and coming mids, all lining up at Half Forward. And before you say our young future mids dont get CBAs, Pedler has had time in their every week since round 9, Soligo every game, Schoenberg and Hately last week, Rachelle most weeks.
