Review Dees v Handbaggers - the Good, the Bad & the Fugly

It's funny how melbourne have been just about the afl hardest team to break into. I was at the casey vs box hill game a month ago and saw one of our young mids dominate clearances, rack up over 30 possies and have a bunch of tackles, then get appraised like this "got a lot of the ball and used it reasonably well, but was part of a midfield that was out pointed". Two or three of those box hill mids have played for the hawks since then, but our guy can't get in a gig in a bottom 3 team. But it's good we've established some clear defensive non-negotiables. It's a pleasure watching the guys go about their work. Bail, Kent, watts, terlich, m.jones and a couple of others.

The team is crying out for some changes and it's time some of the regulars found out how tough it is trying to impress in the vfl. This week there'll be plenty of changes. I know cos the vfl reports have strangely turned all positive. Funny that.

Roos has also said one good game in the VFL won't earn a spot, it needs to be 3-4 solid weeks in a row
