MVP Freo POTY Results & Standings - Updated after Qual. Final

Disappointing and not entirely expected result seems to have kept voters away this week.

Yeah I'm one of them, my bad. I was so disappointed with that game I haven't been able to bring myself to watch the replay yet, and I don't like voting if I've only seen the game from my crappy seats where I can't see half the action.

Back in our rightful spot in the winners circle this week and for the first time, in my memory at least, Neale was voted our BOG, agreeing with the RG voters on the day. Sandi and Balla also polled high votes. A good spread of votes after that was good to see too.

Tough day at the office taking on red-hot Port side. Didn't get the chocolates, but it wasn't our worst performance of the year either. Some players stood up and these are the ones that the BF voters picked out:

Despite the greasy conditions thanks to whoever manages that place, Hill stood out a mile and was almost unanimously considered our BOG. Nice mix behind him this week, and a relatively long one which is typical of a solid win. The washup:

Despite the inaccurate goal kicking, it was still a strong win for the boys and it was a welcome return to the leader-board for Spurr, who was only just pipped at the post by Sandilands as our voted BOG. Both had great games. Hill also continued his good form and then it was very tight behind that. This is how it panned out.

interesting how none of us rated Pav's game while the coaches did.

Yeah. RTB in particular singled him out. I had him in my votes, but only just. His misses just sat in our minds more than all the good things he did, which was lots. He was a massive presence in the fwd half.

yeah I think thats it. If he had nailed his shots it would have been vote worthy but when Pav in particular gets wobbly in front of goal it seems to have a lock on effect on others.

Sorry for the lateness with these this week, bit hectic at my end and then Internet issues. Well, better late than never I guess.

As for the results, top two were pretty much universally voted on: First BOG for Balla for the season so well done to him, on the other hand, Fyfe was back to his usual spot near the top of the table after spending couple of weeks in the mid-level of voting.

Haha Sandilands got 211 votes ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Again, sorry they're a bit late. Prefer to get them out earlier; I blame the hardware I'm using, I'm going to upgrade again next week and see if that helps .

Anyway, interesting that it's the same top three as last week, just the order slightly different. So well done to the top three who are clearly in good form. After that, it's a reasonable spread which is typical after a good win. Here are the numbers.

Hill and Fyfe continued their good form into this game, voted unanimously as our two better players, with Hill coming out on top in the final count. Duffield had what us voters considered his best game of the season finishing third in the voting. After that it was very close with a number of players stepping up and attracting votes. Special mention to Suban who polled substantial votes for the first time this season.

Tabarner played his 4th game of the season, and battled hard in a completely unfamiliar role. Though not convincing to everybody, he also picked up 5 BYB votes.

Fyfe returned to his customary spot at the top of the list voted as our BOG. Neale not far behind then Barlow and Suban close to each other after that. Well done to Suban who picked up his highest votes for the year, as with Ibbo who is building back to form after a long stretch of injury interruption. Lots of players picked up a spattering of votes after that - so we all seem pretty happy with the team. Here are the numbers:
