For the egregious error of misspelling their premiership co-captain's name on the back of their heritage guernsey, the Gumbies should be docked a premiership.

Dragons FFC announce heritage jumper

By Mark Robinson

Dragons FFC have announced their heritage jumper for Round Seven of the Sweet Football Association which also doubles as the SFA's heritage round, the first ever occasion of the concept being held in the competition. The Dragons heritage jumper is a mix of the old Southern Sharks guernsey and the design the Southern Dragons played in as a merged entity in Season 10 of the SFA.

Club co-captain Ljp86 explained the design was a blend of several concepts and included part of the jumper the Southern Sharks wore in Season Seven of the competition before merging at the end of the season with Dragons FC.

"The front of the jumper contains the Dragons' cross which appeared on the front of the jumper for a number of seasons with this particular design based on the jumper that the club wore in Season 10 as the Southern Dragons. The remainder of the front is the exact colours and design that the Southern Sharks wore in Season Seven of the competition although the blue has been darkened somewhat to compliment the other Sharks' colours of white and grey. The cross also doubles as the white strip on the front of the jumper giving it a tri-colour feel."

"The upper back half of the jumper is based on the current Dragons FFC design panel with the bottom part a continuance of the Sharks' colours. The socks are based on the current socks the club wears but are white in tribute to the colour which featured heavily in the Sharks and Dragons' history."

The jumper was designed by Dragons player Andonis1997 with The Filth Wizard, akkaps and jenny61_99 modelling the new look at the jumper launch.

The Dragons will travel to Brunswick Junction Oval to debut the strip against Roys FFC in what will be a crucial clash for both sides.

Fantastic looking guernsey. I'm probably biased but those colours are up there with the best in the competition. Distinctive, different and go together really well. Great effort Andonis1997. :thumbsu:
