Injury Injury thread 2014/15

If we were to have an injury to a quality player then a key position defender is where we have the best coverage.

When Darling is fit again we would have had trouble fitting all our quality talls in the team.

Just stop it, that's just fan boy nonsense.;)

The season is finished before it began and we were never going to improve on last year anyway!!!

We never improve and never will until Priddis is retired and we add more "sprinkles and flavoured toppings to our midfield".

Geeeeez mate, just understand the Eagles are a hopeless club who haven't had any success in decades and are going nowhere!!!!!!:D

According to Peter Larkins,

40% of ACLs in pre-season
35% before round 11
25% after round 11.

Harder grounds?
Too much muscle (result of weights program over pre-season)?
Body still getting used to increased muscle?
Body not match fit?

Could be an interesting research piece.

Given the pre-season is basically Nov - April (therefore 20 weeks roughly).. comparison should be:

40% ACLs in pre-season
60% ACLs during season

I would be more intrerested if more ACLs happened in the NAB cup games than regular games

That's a lot when you consider there isn't many games in the pre season

75% of players with dodgy acl's are gone by mid year. That's why there is less in the back half, it's surviorship bias.

I wouldn't have thought too many would be done between Nov and December given they are fitness programs as opposed to skills training.

More an annoyance rather than anything else. He should only miss round 1 at most and he isn't best 22

The bigger issue is that I'm sure the club would have liked to have rested Scott Lycett before round 1 - which will be difficult if Sinclair and NN are not playing.

Hopefully he misses the Freo game and McInnes can support NN

Following the Port game, there is only one more preseason game in the four weeks before round 1. I think Lycett should be ok.

Goody another season over in March.

Waters dead
Darling serious foot injury
Nicnat still bloody injured
McKenzie - no words
