This reminds me of someone else I know who retired a couple of years ago. He was absolutely livid that he was told that he has too much money to get the pension. I told him that he should be happy about that but he was adamant that it should be his right to collect a pension.

Examine his hands for paint spatters. Call 000 (not the "report" line) to report the crime and tell them you suspect him and it could get violent then hang up (they'll turn up). If you see any paint cans anywhere do not touch them because they'll have fingerprints.

I've lived with folks in their 30s with no idea about cleaning as you go (and the kitchen magically cleans itself), can't manage money, poor vocabulary, no geographical and directional skill, heads in their phones and can't hold an actual verbal talking conversation for more than 5 minutes and wonder why they pay tax when they do their tax return and i get hefty returns each year (as i have extra taken out and use that return to pay for vacations and interstate trips home to see my family)

RASK - I'd be getting the car towed, selling it for free or pouring honey and butter on it and leave it to bake
