Any news on what clubs will feature in this years U/18's comp & how teams are shaping up? Heard Salesian and Richmond not fielding a team this year and a few new clubs have put together u/18's sides? If true, its a good sign for the association.

Kew out not fielding either 18s or 19s. Sth Melb Districts struggling so maybe 6/7/8 max???

Werribee gone to wrfl, CYs and point cook will both feature and willys got st bernards in a praccy next week so they'll have a team also. Hearing that bullen temp putting a team together?

Point Cook having low numbers surprises me. Its such a fast growing place with many families. Maybe they are going off to the WRFL?
Where have Kew gone?
Mazenod also having a 18's side for the first time. Its always a tough year for those clubs that put in a side for the first year, but good luck to them

Most PC players that have gone are looking to play a higher standard than D4 and some to WRFL.

PC have only lost 3 players to other clubs from last years 18s that are eligible to play again this year and only one is liekly to play a higher standard of football.
Some have decided to no longer play and about 8 are playing Seniors. Like many other clubs, numbers are difficult to get at this age group, particularly when there has been 4 new clubs established in a 5km radius.

Any chance of getting a fixture before Saturday?? Any praccy matches results that anyone knows of?

St bernards beat CYs by 6 goals. Bernards had a couple of very impressive players.

I expect Bernards to take it out as they where the only side to push Kew last year and unlucky to make finals. Given that Kew are gone, Werribee gone, PC not as strong, Bernards and Cy's should be too strong but not sure what other teams there are

Can anyone shed some light on the Mazenod vs South Melbourne game? It's not a good sign for the competition if one of the teams withdrew!
Didn't get down to any of the games this weekend due to family but how did both games go?

Was the Mazenod And South Melbourne game withdrawn?? Not good with only 6 teams in the comp and one pulls out.
Was at the PC and CY's game, very close all day and the score board reflected it. And Bernards got beat by UHS. This would make UHS strong this year?

South Melbourne called up Friday arvo saying they couldn't get a team together for round 1. 5 or 6 of the Maz under 18's ended up playing in the clubbies.
