It was selective writing. Cripps handball to kick ratio this season is 2 to 1. Does he need to kick more to become elite?The use to say that Tim Cahill could head the ball better than most could kick it.
This is similar to Serong, his handpasses are so quick, clean and powerful that why waste time kicking it?
Is Neale actually a better player for kicking more? Sure it improves his supercoach, metres gained light up. Are they retaining the ball from his kicks? Generating scoring chains? Maybe they would gain more metres and get more and/or better scoring opportunities if he dished it off to someone on the spread more. (Not saying this is nessicarily true of course, but it's plausible).
I'd say a lack of dept in inside midfield options that can spread from the contest as well is just a big a reason why Lachie kicks more these days at Brissie.
