Fevola slips to third in the coleman medal race after Franklin kicked 8 and Bradshaw kicked 7. Franklin now leads by 10, so Fev needs to kick 11 to take the lead... very do-able thought!!

Carn the Fev show!!!

how much would we have to win by to get our percentage higher than collingwoods which is at 107%?

Ours is currently 89%...

about 110 points... going ahead of collingwood is gonna havta be a work in progress i think lol

mark my words; expect them to flood like dogs tomorrow...

no problem, so long as we win. don't care how many Fev kicks and he shouldn't (probably doesn't) either.

And if Melbourne floods it kills their life supported forward line.

Fev can out run a good number of the Melbourne team. It will be a game of move and counter move and opens up another 5 men to kick a potential bag.

I see it like this;
Franklin has been on song since round 1, Fev had a slow start to the year and is already second, if he had kicked a couple more against RFC and the Saints he would have been leading into round 5.

Franklin hasn't really played on any decent fullback yet, so give it time.

Franklin kicked 6 against the Dees in round one, so expect Fev to have the same output, if not more.

Melbourne can't flood, they simply can't afford to, other wise the game will be played only in our forward half, as they'll have nobody to kick it to in the centre and we'll just rebound.

That is third with Franklin and Bradshaw playing one more game than Fevola;):thumbsu:.

Not to mention Fevola will have to deal with the brutal Melbourne defence tomorrow:rolleyes::p.

It doesn't matter how many men you have back, if your disposal is going to be sh*t, you have to be prepared to suffer the concequences and pay for your mistakes:thumbsu:.

Carn the 'Fev Show'!

If Melb flood or triple team him, Carlton should bring fev up the ground and chuck Cloke in the goal square. Might drag a player away from him. If Fev does get followed by them like he is th worlds last virigin, then I think that players like fish, cloke, kruZe, may get a few each. Which might be nice to see. But knowing fev, he will have all of Melbourne on him and still kick a bag. No way u can stop him when he plays like this. Only Brendon can stop himself!!

Geez, don't we sound like the pundits prior to the Geelong v Melbourne game where all sorts of records were tipped to be broken?

I will be happy to get four points and mindful that we could easily drop our bundle again if our players think for a moment this is a guaranteed win.

That Dees side has a lot of good players still, they are just not in great form.

Fev has never kicked more than 8 goals in a game IIRC. Calls of 15 are just ludicrous at this stage. Calls of 15 in any game by any player are outlandish as it has happened so sparingly in history. They are usually a game out of the box that nobody saw coming.

A tough, committed 4 points is all I want today. Whether that be by 1 point or 100 points I do not care. I'll be paying respect to Bruce, Robbo, White, McLean, Green (who carves us up every time), McDonald, Bate, Jones etc.

He's primed for a big game tomorrow I think. He's in brilliant form and he's finally getting the delivery he craves and deserves.

He won't reclaim top spot in the Coleman tomorrow but he'll close the gap. He should be able to kick 6 at least.

The gap was 2 going into round 5 - he'll have to get a PB if he's gonna close it...

Look for Fev to be leading the Coleman with 30 goals come 4pm. :p

Back to second with 7 straight today. You'd have to wonder how many he would have kicked had Melbourne not played an extra man in front of him all day.

Just a great effort today. Well played Fev.

Extra man? Fair dinkum, I could have sworn that Melbourne played 5 men in front of him all day.

For Fev to kick 7 goals up against that is a brilliant effort.

Good call. Played well from what I heard on the wireless.

Useless stat of the day: no goalkickers scored behinds for either team. Please be underwhelmed. Unless you are Tim Lane.
