although that trade looks lopsided, it really isn't. Why keep Gasol who is getting paid 15 mil when your team is losing? He is getting paid to do nothing. Memphis sucked. Now they get 2 decent draft prospects, the highly rated Crittenton and his brother marc gasol who just got MVP playing over in spain.

Lakers are contending, give away their future for the present. And they just dumped Utah out of the playoffs.

The two first round picks look good on paper, but they may as well have ben 2nd rounders seeing as how the Lakers are obviously going to fionish at the top of the standings the next few seasons.

They hold little value. Crittenton is a dud.

This trade is not fair, any way you look at it. it should have been vetoed by the NBA front office.

Think of it this way -

if the Jazz sent Jason Hart, Jarron Collins and two 1st round picks to memphis for Gasol, I guarantee you the NBA would block the trade.
