What Happend to this Bloke, He was Highly Rated this time last year but I hear nothing about him this Year.

What Happend? Did his Stock Fall?

I wouldn't say fall, however a lot of kids have overtaken him.

He has had a decent season playing as a utility, I probably expect him to go somewhere in the 40's/50's in the draft.

Got a recall to play for Vic Metro in the U18's, but I think it's fair to say he hasn't come on as anticipated.

Steve is being overtaken by alot of younger kids. Yes got the recall up for Vic Metro Team this year. Plays for the Stingrays and Edidthvale Aspendale Eagles in the Mornington Peninsula Nepen Football League. He is also being a bit overtaken by fellow Eagles players Matthew CLARK (Stingrays #5) and Ricky FERRARO (Stingrays #12) Who I also think is the captain of the Stingrays and had guided them to 3rd just off 2nd by .6%. But all these are potential pick ups in the 08 draft.

Would love him to come to Richmond next year, this kid has a fantastic attitude and will be one of those players that will do whatever the team needs them to do.

Was told he had to work on a few things last summer and he went away and did just that while showing more versatility in other positions.

Deserves a chance and I hope Richmond are the team that gives it to him

Given his size and athletisism, i'd be amazed if he didn't end up on an AFL list for next year, even if it is a rookie spot.

I hope Steve is drafted this year he is 199cm now and has lost none of his pace and leap. He played most of his junior footy as a ruckman and gave great service to both Matt Clark and Ricky Ferrero. But last weeks game for Stringrays was the !st game he played in the same position for an entire game.

I beleive he is a natural ruckman who can play forward not a wingman or back pocket.I really hope he has a great finals series and makes people reveiw the myth that he can't kick he worked very hard in the last 12 months to rectify a flaw he had.

I heard he played at CHB on the weekend and played well on a top 10 rated player so I hope the good form continues for Steve and the Stringrays.

Someone should pick him up. he has worked on a few areas this year and to me he looks a good defender in the making. His defence is pretty good and his run and carry from half back is very good for such a tall kid.
I would have no problems if we picked him up third or fourth round.

Got no idea why we didnt use pick 70 to pick up Gourdis or Gaertner. Bevo must see something magical in this Connors kid.

I remember going to school and playing u/10s with those guys .

Steve is a ripper bloke and I'd be very happy if we managed to pick him up at some point.

Two of my biggest queries over him from last year. Good to see that he has improved in both of these areas.

great to see the 3 edi-asp boys in the best.Steve was ill all last week, so good effort to get up and play well, apparently after half time was really feeling unwell but battled on.

There was not a lot wrong with his kicking yesterday. All his short kicks hit targets. The only real issue was a couple of times when he ran the ball from defence and kickied it 50 meters but there was only opposition players there at CHF where the kick landed.
It is something he has to work on but if the worst problem he is going to have is that he runs the ball 20 meters and then kicks it 50 meters and turns a couple over per game like that then he is traveling ok.
